REUTERS/Ammar AwadJerusalem – A new poll shows the number of Israelis and Palestinians who support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state has dropped in recent months. But far more people continue to prefer the two-state solution to an alternative single-state arrangement.

The joint Israeli-Palestinian poll was released on Thursday, a day after President Donald Trump and the visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu distanced themselves from the two-state solution.

The poll found that 55 percent of Israelis and 44 percent of Palestinians support a two-state arrangement. That compares to 59 percent and 51 percent last June. Yet just 24 percent of Israelis and one-third of Palestinians prefer a single binational state.

The EU-funded poll surveyed over 1,200 people on each side and had a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

A Palestinian state will either be controlled by Hamas or Hizbollah, neither a partner for Israel

The reality is that in the current state of affairs, neither one state or two state solutions can work. Why? Because the liberal left, terror loving previous administration has empowered the forces that are enemies to Israel to not recognize Israel’s sovereignty at all, not not recognize it as a Jewish State, and to tacitly support terror as a means to force Israel to disappear. This is apparent in so much of what Obama did in his 8 years in power. This is reasonavle cause for hating that man, everything he stood for, and all those who supported him in the past and continue to do so in the present.

The one-state solution leaves Israel with a risk of becoming an Arab majority, and losing any identification as a Jewish state, with a regime that will advocate for the persecution of Jews. Here comes Hitler y”sh all over again. The two-state option will require that “Palestine” be completely demilitarized. There is zero trust of the Muslims, and especially when they reside near Jews. They have been indoctrinated to hate and kill Jews. Don’t cry about moderate Islam. Show me the “moderates” who condemn and stop terror. Show me those that don;t support it.

Worthless poll. Of course no Jewish Israeli wants a “Bi-National” State. But that’s not the only option to the “Two State Solution”.
How about the Status Quo option. That’s better than either options offered in the “poll”.
But actually there are many ways to improve the status quo. Non-Israeli Arab residents could improve their living standards if they would on a one by one personal basis opt for some sort of permanent resident status that would give them more freedom of travel and other benefits, without entitling them to vote. Emigration could also be made easier and more enticing. By applying for permanent residence they would be agreeing to the policy that denies them citizenship. This is really the only way to make a “peace” agreement with them, because any agreement signed by one political “leader” on behalf of the populace would be rejected by the populace, but on an individual basis we could get “agreements” from the vast majority of them.

You can see from where the pole comes from to see that is not true.
