Speaking only days after Trump deferred the issue of the embassy move in a major news conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, she said, “We are not worried about the hysterical message the Palestinians are trying to spread” against the embassy move.

She added, “I definitely think the embassy should move to Jerusalem and hope he will keep his promise.”
Every US president in recent memory has committed during electoral campaigns to moving the US Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem only to relent on the promise when taking office.

Trump had made even more noise about moving the embassy, but like past presidents, appears to have become more cautious when taking office and confronting the international opposition to an embassy move.

Shaked also addressed and asked for audience opinions about two phenomena occurring in the US right now: the drop in support for Israel among US Democrats and the rise of antisemitism in the US after Trump’s election.

“I am concerned about…decreasing support for Israel in the Democratic party. I almost didn’t sleep at night after I saw a poll two weeks ago” of dropping support – calling the drop “a strategic issue for Israel.”

A top US JCC spoke of the recent trend in antisemitism, stating that there have been 56 JCC bomb-threats over a recent three week period. The official asked Shaked to press Trump to correct the record and “to address the issue head-on to get our president to address” the issue.

Some Jewish groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, have accused Trump of ducking the antisemitism of some of his supporters.

I hear your concern but dont share it. You see decreased support to the state of Israel? Thank G D! You are evidently a tinak shenishba and have no clue in anything spiritual. The entire Treifene Medinah will be shunned very soon. The isolation by democrats and Trump abandoning his promise is all Yad Hashem. For all intents and purposes you have no problem that Anti semitism in America is sky rocketing due to Bibis provocation of building settlments and putting innocent Israelis at risk. You want our president should endanger our lives plus innocent Israeli lives cause of your political agenda?? The US shld anger the entire Muslim world? For what?? For Bibis political showing to the world that he got what he wanted?! Thank G d we have a responsible president that will not do this violent act of endangering our lives just to satisfy Bibi and his cohorts. G d bless America and may G d bless and guide our president in doing the right thing.

Israel should keep on deluding themselves.

Well, beliefs are decieving while knowledge is steadfast.

    The former is against them.

American Jews oppose their agendas in any case. Get a life!

I agree with #1 ; if the US Embassy is moved now, there will be an intifada, which will cost many Israel lives (as well as Arab lives), and which will dward the first two intifadas.. When Sharon made his “visit” to the Temple Mount in 2000, he provoked an intifada which cost well over 1,000 Israeli lives. Now, if the USA wants to informally move some embassy staff, and work in a small office in Jerusalem, fine; however, to publicly move the entire building, would be a disaster, both politically, and from a public relations point of view. The Embassy should not be moved now, nor should there be any more settlements constructed on the West Bank. There will never be peace in that area, if the latter developments take place. Incidentally, to all of the gung ho readers on this site; unless you are willing to personally take place in armed conflict, against the hordes of mobs, who will surely riot if the Embassy is moved, costing thousands of lives, PIPE DOWN!

If only Jews should do this and that, the haters will go away?
Haven’t we been made aware of our history over thousands of years? The answer is to observe Yiddishkeit and support Eretz Yisroel. Anything else is living in fear and surrender.
