Brooklyn, NY - Police Seeking Suspect In Midwood Synagogue Robbery
Brooklyn, NY - Detectives in the NYPD’s 66th precinct have released pictures and video of a man wanted in connection with a synagogue robbery, hoping that someone can help them identify the suspect.
Police said that the robbery took place at the Congregation Veretzky Synagogue on Avenue L between E8th and E9th Streets on Friday March 3rd.
After arriving at the synagogue on a mountain bike between 11:15 AM and 12:30 PM, the suspect is said to have gone through the pockets of coats that were hanging on a coat rack, removing three cell phones, an iPod and five religious items.
The suspect, who is described as a white male between 5’6” and 5’8”, left the scene with the stolen items on the same bicycle. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a light colored hooded sweatshirt, dark shoes, black and white sneakers, sunglasses and a red knit hat with the letters NY.
