Tikrit, Iraq - A statue of the shoe hurled at former US President George W Bush has been unveiled in Iraq.

Mr Bush had to duck during a press conference in Baghdad when journalist Muntadhar al Zeidi threw his size nines in anger.
Footage of the incident spread around the world, prompting rallies in the Arab world and political satire in the US and UK.
Artist Laith al Amari said his work was in honour of the pride of the Iraqi people.
It is inscribed with a poem which pays tribute to the missile-throwing journalist.
Al Zeidi himself is still awaiting trial for "assault" against a foreign leader.
He reportedly intends to apply for political asylum in Switzerland, after claiming he was beaten up in custody.

if these same iraqis would only think of a shoe during saddams time they would be killed they were the ones who tore down the saddam statue, now they're putting up this statue? wake up! bush is your liberator not your occupier.
the same thing to bush himself sep. 11 2001 we all thought at that time, that bush will see that those stupid arab terrorist don't have a cause, they just want to kill innocent civilians, but a few years past and he forgot about the whole thing now he says "if you will just give them a state side by side with israel they will not want to kill anymore.
the same with Jimmy carter, he had the most trouble with the islamist they killed his presidency, 444 days of the hostages he tried everything with them. he himself said by one of his last news conferences that these poeple are imposible to deal with them.

You seem to be confusing Clintons policy with Bush. Bush promised them a state AFTER they stop killing. Not an agreement on paper but in fact. Clinton was the one who wanted them to have the area they got under Rabin and Natanyahu and allow them to have a police force believing that they will suddenly turn peacful. Bush gave them nothing.
State or no state they have their own PA created under Clinton and beyond that it's just politics. Bush did it nota few years later but a few days later, needed the support from Eropean countries like Great Britain for his war on terror and eventually Iraq. So he got rid of Saddam for Israel and in exchange he promised the PA state status when the finally behave, when that will happen.

They should start importing chasidishe halber shich into the muslim countries, since they have acquired the taste of show throwing, those are far less dangerous
