More than 350 members of the Yale class of 1985 in a letter dated Aug. 18 said it is Mnuchin’s “moral obligation to resign” from Trump’s Cabinet immediately.

“While I find it hard to believe I should have to defend myself on this, or the president, I feel compelled to let you know that the president in no way, shape, or form, believes that neo-Nazi and other hate groups who endorse violence are equivalent to groups that demonstrate in peaceful and lawful ways,” Mnuchin said in a statement released on Saturday.

Mnuchin, who is Jewish, continued: “As someone who is Jewish, “I believe I understand the long history of violence and hatred against the Jews (and other minorities) and circumstances that give rise to these sentiments and actions.”

“I don’t believe the allegations against the president are accurate, and I believe that having highly talented men and women in the country surrounding the president in his administration should be reassuring to you and the American people. As long as I am Treasury Secretary, I will do the best I can for the American people and provide the best advice I can to the president,” he also wrote.

Mnuchin was standing next to Trump on Tuesday during a news conference in which the president condemned “both sides” for the violence in Charlottesville, calling the counter protesters facing down the white supremacist demonstrators the “alt-Left.”

The letter from his Yale classmates also stated that Mnuchin should resign because the president “declared himself a sympathizer with groups whose values are antithetical to those values we consider fundamental to our sacred honor as Americans, as men and women of Yale, and as decent human beings.”

“President Trump made those declarations loudly, clearly, and unequivocally, and he said them as you stood next to him,” the letter said. It concluded: “We call upon you, as our friend, our classmate, and as a fellow American, to resign in protest of President Trump’s support of Nazism and white supremacy. “We know you are better than this, and we are counting on you to do the right thing.”

It can be easy to become addicted to power; it’s good Munchin has classmates who feel that they can talk to him about this.

It’s so sad that sanity has to fight for a voice these days. Hillary’s loss has totally traumatized the Democrats and the left to the point that they refuse to accept clear and unequivocal statements by the President that he actually agrees with them when it comes to racism, fascism, and anti-Semitism.

ITS realalt so sad that the left is so fixated on a few loony Nazis vs the threat from the left.

The lefts embracing of Muslims can turn my city into Paris . Just imagine if one of those Syrian refugees let in thanks to Jewish liberal pressures go and blow up a shul or grocery store . you think it’s so far stretched ? Look at Paris . Or imagine of the left idiotic Israel boycotts pressure Israel to make a concession and lossen restrictions on Palestinians and a terrorist slips through? Is that so far stretched . I fear the left more than the loony neo Nazis sorry

I agree with #1 , and #4 . In addition to his baggage with Trump, there is something else about Mnuchin, which burns the heck out of me. Namely, he outright LIED during his confirmation hearings, when he was specifically asked by U.S. Senators, about the actions of a bank which he owned during the mortgage crisis of 2007-2008. He was asked if his bank foreclosed the mortgages of people in error, and if those people were kicked out onto the street. Mnuchin lied, stating that “there were some instances where that occurred, but we took corrective action, to assist those who were affected. In fact, there were many people who lost their homes, because of Mnuchin’s bank, who should never have had their mortgages foreclosed upon. In many cases, his bank made clerical errors, and there was no corrective action, taken in time, to right that wrong. Mnuchin knew about that, but still lied under oath. He is a man without conscience; that is why he gets along so well with his boss, as they are birds of a feather (which flock together).

It is not yet time for the President to resign. In fact, it would be a Very Bad Thing if he quits now. If the President packs it in now, he will spend the rest of his life on Twitter telling people he was hounded out by the “Deep State,” the Liberals or the Jews. Further, people will believe him.
    .

President Trump needs to stay in office for years, preferably four years. People, Trump supporters need four years of headlines, investigations, wars, failures and embarrassment. This is the only way for them to understand the nature of the man they elected.

To #9 - Why don’t you check the facts, before expounding your lies to cover up your corrupt officials in the White House? Mnuchin’s bank was indeed involved in non-Kosher activities, which resulted in human beings being kicked out into the street, for no fault of their own. Instead of apologizing, he lied about it, and got away with it. Incidentally, I didn’t vote for Bernie or Hillary.

To #16 - I’m not referring to people who didn’t pay their monthly mortgage payments, as those people deserved to have their mortgages foreclosed. I’m referring to people who had in fact paid their mortgages, and had evidence, that they had done so. However, Mnuchen’s bank, made many clerical errors, which were not corrected in time, to prevent people from losing their homes. Why don’t you research this matter, to see that what I’m stating is indeed factual? Incidentally, don’t throw up to me what Hillary did. I did not vote for her, or Bernie.
Mnuchin lied in his written and oral testimony, about the above, and got away with it. Therefore, since the man has no conscience, I don’t expect him to do anything about the problem with his boss.
