We have a Szyk haggadah, purchased 40 years ago in Israel for about $25. I wonder how much it is worth today?

Please don't worry about how much things are worth....with the downsizing in the economy nobody is buying things anymore....instead save these Haggadahs and pass it down in the family....you'll have more memories this way....my husbands mother left jewelry to me, and what do you think happened....it was pawned by a relative of my husband....please don't do this to these priceless Haggadahs....keep the Haggadahs,no matter how much money their worth....and now I can't get back my mother in laws jewelry....all because a stupid relative pawned it....

The standard Haggadah's of Szyk, don't sell for much from 50-150 depending on condition. There are rarer editions, and some special bindings which sell for quite a bit more.
As for who would by these things, anyone that could should. they are selling for less then hald what they would sell for in good times, that's a great investment. double your money in a few years, the richest me in the world can't do that.

I have a Szyk Haggadah that was given to me in the 60's by a then-young couple from Israel, honeymooning in America, with a lovely inscription saying that they hoped one day I would move to Israel. I was about six years old at the time.

That Haggadah immediately and forever became not only my favorite, but the favorite of succeeding generations of youngsters at the family table, who love to look at its illustrations, some moving and some amusing to their young eyes. Pesach wouldn't be the same without it. Like Anonymous Message 4 above, mine has also accumulated arba kosos stains over the years.

Oh, and nowadays, most years we make our seder in Eretz Yisrael, at our home in Jerusalem. Because just as Yehudit and Greg (alav hashalom) wrote so many years ago, in time I did make aliyah, and of course my Szyk Haggadah came home with me.

I couldn't care less what its market value may be. Its value to me is indescribable.
