Arriving in the Czech Republic at the invitation of local neo-Nazis, Duke was to give lectures in Prague and Brno.

Duke, a U.S. citizen, is suspected of denying or approving of the Nazi genocide and other Nazi crimes. This crime is punishable by up to three years in prison in the Czech Republic.
According to an Internet text signed by Filip Vavra, who is linked to the neo-Nazi National Resistance group, Duke has visited the Czech Republic in order to promote his book My Awakening.
Czech lawyer Klara Kalibova said some passages of the book can be interpreted as an effort at justifying or challenging the Holocaust.

Czech police are reportedly focusing on the book as well.
Duke was to give three lectures in the Czech Republic. The first was to take place at Prague’s Charles University, but the university has banned it.

The other two lectures were to be held in the centre of Prague on Saturday and in Brno, capital of Moravia, on Sunday, according to the website presenting Duke’s visit.

Some Czech politicians assessed Duke’s visit negatively earlier this week. Disapproving stand in this respect has been expressed by Interior Minister Ivan Langer and Human Rights and Minorities Minister Michael Kocab.

I hope he rots in Jail and 3 years for every charge, he’s an antisemite whose website focuses entirely on defaming Jews. He’s a staunch defender of John Demjanjuk as well a notorious Nazi living in the US currently in the process of being transfered to Germany.

He also implicitly denies the holocaust. His website can make you vomit as you go back to 1938 rehtoric. Everything is the Jews fault including 9/11. I cant understand how he’s allowed to incite such hate in the US.

…From a Psychological point of view there is a lot to be said about david duke (ymsh”v). What drives him?! It’s something he has in common with other vermin in the racist nazi camp! It’s something that he shared with the other rat geogrge lincoln rockwell (ymsh”v). They both had minimal contact with Jews on an everyday level. Yet they perpetrate (past tense, thankfully, in the case of glr. yms”h) and perpetuate their incitement against different minority groups. There is one other character on the political scene who’s a true anti-Semite, who once was a political candidate for President. He, too has something in common with the other two, that is a possible reason for his [political] anti-Semitism. Though, his father was an anti-Semite, too. So said the late William F. Buckley Jr. !!!

i just do not understand why you cheer about David Duke’s arrest. Do you not appreciate having free speech? This man has been arrested for simply visiting a country in Europe, BEFORE he made his planned speech. In the words of Voltaire ‘I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” At no time had David denied the holocaust, he simply has supported the fact that “the truth does not fear investigation”. I hope you appreciate that if it is ok to arrest a man for writing a book you disagree with, then soon enough you yourselves could be arrested for thought crimes against your governments. Is this where you want to be?

You have free speech even though you may not shout fire in a crowded theater for fun.
Speech which endangers others is not included in free speech.
