Tehran - Iran Presidential Candidate Wanted in Argentina Jewish Center Attack |
|
Tehran - Mohsen Rezaei says he has joined the presidential race to save the country from ‘the path of destruction’, taken by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
“The truth is that our nation has two very different paths at hand. If President Ahmadinejad gets his way, we will fall off the cliff … we will be defeated,” Rezaei, the Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, said Sunday in his first press conference after announcing his bid.
He expressed deep concern over the current path taken by the incumbent government, saying the acquired achievements of the country would fade away if the path of the Ahmadinejad administration were to be continued.
According to the Associated Press
Rezaei, who led Iran’s Revolutionary Guards during the country’s war with Iraq in the 1980s, is on a list of five Iranian officials sought by Interpol since 2007 for the Buenos Aires bombing that killed 85 people. Iran has rejected any link to the bombing.

“ So is he a reformer or terrorist? ”
By Iranian standards, he is a "Ba'al Tshuvah" and should be regarded as a much better alternative than the current leadership. The U.S. should support him. He is the lesser of two evils.

It's like choosing between the SA and the SS. I read somewhere that there was competition going on in nazi germany between several groups for the annihilation of the Jews. The SS "won"! The fuehrer yms"h decided that they would do the "best" job! Same here the "baal t'shuva" is a mass murderer, and the incumbent is a "potential" mas murderer! Now go out and vote!!!

You people are forgetting that they are BOTH terrorists!! The current leader of Iran, Mr Ahmadingbat, was one of the geshultina mamzayrim that held our hostages in 1979 & 80 when our embassy was taken over for 444 days.

Neither he nor Ahmadinejad are the real power in Iran, they are only the face of Iran. I think it’s better to have an open Sonei Yisroel as the face of Iran then a behind the scenes Sonei Yisroel who will charm his Western counterparts and play the pretending game together. It reminds me of the words of Rabbi Meir Kahane HY”D that there are stupid Arabs and smart Arabs, the stupid ones say openly that they want to kill Jews, the smart ones say that they want peace, but in reality both have the same intentions RC”L.
