White Plains, NY - An alleged homegrown terrorist struggled to keep his pants on in court today while telling the judge he was also struggling to comprehend the charges against him.

Ex-con Laguerre Payen, 31, was briefly removed from the White Plains federal courtroom after his jeans fell down, exposing his boxer underwear before he and three co-defendants were arraigned on an eight-count indictment.

The high school drop-out later told Magistrate Paul Davison: "I don't understand, like the stuff the courts talk about."

Defense lawyer Marilyn Reader said the Haitian national had difficulty communicating in English, and had also been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Prosecutor Eric Snyder, however, insisted that Payen "can and does understand English," telling the judge: "I don't think you should be misled."

Payen, accused ringleader James Cromitie, David Williams and Onta Williams all pleaded not guilty to charges they plotted to blow up two Riverdale synagogues and shoot down military planes at an upstate airport.

They face life in prison if convicted.

The men, who converted to Islam while behind bars, were busted by the FBI on May 20 after allegedly planting phony C-4 explosives provided by an informant.

A female friend of David Williams who attended the court hearing clad in a black Muslim head cover, insisted afterward that "he's a good guy."

"This (informant) gave him money. This whole thing is entrapment," she told reporters.

They should provide him with an interpreter to be sure his rights are protected and also buy him several suits that fit so as not to make him appear in a negative way to the jury.

I think it's more important to buy him a pair of suspenders...

The reason that his pants fell down is because the feds took away his belt, fearing that if he has a belt he might commit suicide by hanging himself with the belt.

Shame on the goverment, they take naïve people show them money, temp them, of course low IQ people, and then create a high profile case, to send a message that we are doing a great job in protecting the city, and this is going to cost taxpayers millions, same thing happened to the guys who were convicted trying to blow up in the new jersey army base.

Those people are valnurable people, and I abselutly believe its an intrepment.

Oh, what a pity! This man is a blooming idiot and is insane. That is exactly what his lawyer wants you to think.
You see, this poor man came from haiti and when he was i America he just lost his awareness. He suddenly forgot how to speak English, he forgot how to hear English, he forgot everything. Oh, I mean almost. yousee, he forgot everything except for hating Jews.

That will not help, because his lawyer must of told him to dress that way, so the new suits will be the same thing, thathis pants will fall down
