Brazil - More Bodies Recovered At Air France Crash Site |

Air Force Col. Henry Munhoz says four of the bodies were men and four were women. He did not immediately provide information about the gender of the other bodies. The flight was carrying 228 people when it crashed the night of May 31.
Munhoz also told reporters Sunday night that several structural parts of the Airbus 330 were recovered at the location from which Flight 447 sent a burst of messages saying it was having electrical problems and loss of cabin pressure.
Brazilian investigators are searching a zone of several hundred square miles (square kilometers) roughly 400 miles (640 kilometers) northeast of the Fernando de Noronha islands off Brazil's northern coast.
Munhoz and Cardoso declined comment on the condition of the recovered bodies, saying the release of that information would be too emotionally painful for relatives.
Authorities also announced that searchers spotted two airplane seats and other debris with Air France's logo, and they have recovered jet wing fragments and other plane debris.
Munhoz said there is "no more doubt" that the wreckage is from Flight 447.
"We're sailing through a sea of debris," Cardoso said.
Hundreds of personal items belonging to the passengers have been recovered, but Munhoz said authorities would not immediately identify them because relatives of the victims panicked after authorities on Saturday announced the discovery of a laptop computer and a briefcase with a plane ticket inside it.
"We're don't want to cause them more suffering," Munhoz said.
Bodies and plane wreckage were being transported by ship and should arrive Monday at Brazilian islands of Fernando de Noronha, where the military has set up a staging post for the search operation. From there, remains and debris will be taken to the northeastern coastal city Recife for identification.
Air France Flight 447 emitted its last signals roughly 400 miles (640 kilometers) northeast of the Fernando de Noronha islands.

There is no need to identify him, the possiblity of someone surviving is nul, and if there are cameras at the gate seeing him entering the plane, nothing more is needed

first of all, in this case I don't believe there is a need to find bodies to be mater agunah. unfortunately, there is enough evidence ...
second of all, you have to be very careful making selfish statements like you did about finding yidish bodies.
our apologist, liberal, double standard, self hating jewish fellow readers might be offended!
I'm waiting for the standard 'chilul hashem!' comments...
(is there like a button on these idiot's keyboards that automatically inserts 'chillul hashem'? maybe CTRL-SHIFT+CH ?)

There is enough evidence only if there is proof that he was on the plane. Such proof may not be available.

ANd even if it is. It is a mtter of closure for his family. But in anycase once these bodies are identified it will bring at least a small bit of comfort to these families. It is a terrible tragedy and may the RS"O be merachem.

That is not so. There is always the chance he walked off after he walked on. Matir agunah needs 100% for sure, and 99.9999% is not enough.

Even if they have proof he was on board and the wife is matir aguna, hopefully they still find the body so he can have a proper burial! Nebach if his body remains on the bottom of the ocean and is not burried.
