Washington - The American Jewish Committee has set up a memorial fund to benefit the family of the security guard killed Wednesday at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Stephen T. Johns, 39, was killed Wednesday afternoon when a gunman entered the museum and started shooting.

To donate, the organization is asking you to send checks made payable to the American Jewish Committee, with "Holocaust Museum Memorial Fund" in the memo line, to:

He left behind a widow and orphan. Doesn't the Torah say to protect, support and do not oppress the widow and orphan? What need can't you see? They need to pay bills, his son needs to go to college, and they will need professional counseling most likely as well.

H" gave this man the will, courage and ability to give his own life to save the lives of yidden and anyone else in that museum. THAT is why we take care of his family. H" sent this man to take care of us... now we must take care of his family.

Of course his self sacrifice is an sanctification of G-d name. He has saved the life of another human being(s) who are all created in Hashem's image. As we know, "one who saves a life is one who saved the entire world!" thus there is a major need for a memorial and a Righteous Gentile plaque and commemoration.

Note: On the same day as this hero had fallen, rev. Wright (Y"S) blames the Jews for not allowing him to speak to Obama. Interestingly, I see it as one praises the good of the Jewish people, while the other lambasts!

Do you know his family's financial situation? If his family is like most other American families which don't have a large enough amount of savings or enough life insurance, it is likely that they will be under great financial pressure now.
