Blood samples from newly enlisted soldiers into a freeze-dried powder - like coffee - and send it with them to the battlefield.
If those soldiers are ever wounded, water could be added to produce their own blood instantly and create a lifesaving infusion.
Leading the research is Core Dynamics, a Ness Ziona firm active in the research and development of unique freezing, thawing and freeze-drying technologies for application in blood transfusion, cell preservation and tissue and organ transplantation.
OC Medical Corps Brig.-Gen. Dr. Nachman Ash announced the work at the IDF's medical training center in Tzrifin, in his first-ever briefing for health reporters.
If the idea proves itself, it could also have applications in civilian life.

thats pretty wild if they could get it to work. cells are very fragile and special care woudl be required. this really is a great technology if you could muster it. id certainly feel safer if i was in a military situation if i had 2-4 units of my own blood frozen and ready to be reconstituted. but i suspect its going to be years before this technology is available.

BS"D
Considering the military intelligence and handling of the soldiers by their 'superiors' they'll need about 1 million gallons of blood.

Brilliant folks in Israel.....what a shame that the so called Palestinians can't wake up to the fact that their lives could be so much better if they were to live peacefully with Israel and share in the technology coming from there. Also what a shame that the prevaling mentality amonst the arabs is violence and hate rather than peacefull co- existence that could enable them to have clean, healthy and productive lives. What an insane mess!

They are ready now. Reasearch CORE DYNAMICS, they have been working on this for almost 10 years. I helped them raise millions of dollars 5 years ago in a private placement. Some one BIG is going to buy them
