Albany, NY - Sen. Ruben Diaz, Sr., who has railed on Gov. David Paterson before, just sent out this press release.

“Today’s Senate Session was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever experienced.

Yesterday, New York Governor David Paterson bragged to the media about how the leaders of the Republican and Democratic Conferences asked him for more time before calling Special Session and then how he told them, ‘No!’

Much to our surprise and amazement, Governor Paterson called for Special Session and was not ready to present any bill to the Senate for debate nor vote. Why is Governor Paterson wasting the taxpayers money and peoples’ time?

Today’s Session has been another incompetent act of Governor Paterson. Governor Paterson had the look of failure on his face when he made his statement yesterday. Now I understand why.”

In a press conference a few minutes ago Gov. Paterson denied any allegations and accused the sente chamber for not doing there job of voting.

Gov. Paterson should freeze all paychecks until all senators sit down and earn the money that they were already paid for since June 8, 2009. They were paid and did nothing except play in the sandbox!!

I don't see anything wrong with that. There are many things which can go different when the other party will have control of the office. Wouldn't we fight if they cut programs which benefits our Mosdos? They have their things which they don't want to lose.

The more these morons meet the more rights and money we lose.

Funny how a republican who becomes a democrat is exercising his rights - reverse it and the democrats say its illegal!!

The governor has no business interfering with the legislature. If he dares to do such a thing as you suggest the senate should hold him in contempt. They are doing their job; what do you think their job is? To pass whatever the governor sends them?

No, they're fighting over something far more important. What do you want them to do, surrender? Espada is the Temporary President of the Senate. He was elected by a majority senators, and it will take a majority vote to remove him; until such a vote happens he is in charge, and it's shocking that the lawless Democrats stole the gavel, and even more shocking that the seargants-at-arms supported these gangsters. Espada should fire those sergeants-at-arms for insubordination, and hire some new ones, big strong ones, to move them out of their offices.

I am with you,, if it was the other way around, the republicans would have given in,,, that is the law,, Legally the democrats have no legs to stand on,, like the story of Shlomo Hamelech and the two moms and the baby,, One mom allows the baby to be cut in half,, the dems want bipartisan control,, Ya whatever!

If they are fighting for shishi they know at least WHAT they are fighting for. Here they don't even know THAT. Vote all the bums out.
