Ramapo, NY - House Sale Upheld by Appeals Court |

Ramapo, NY - A six-year legal battle by a retired school bus driver to regain ownership of a Decatur Avenue house appears nearing an end.
A four-judge panel of the Appellate Division of the state Supreme Court has unanimously ruled against Venera Held and in favor of Michael Goldstein.
Held accused Goldstein of tricking her into signing an agreement to sell the house during a meeting in a Monsey bagel shop on July 4, 2003.
In the latest of a series of court decisions that have gone in Goldstein's favor, the appeals court ruled on June 16 that Held did not have a right to cancel the contract.
The appeals court also upheld a lower court's ruling that Held must pay Goldstein $3,000 for each month that he was unable to use the property, between March 17, 2006, and the present.

Let's hear all you guys that jumped so eagerly to accuse him. Where's your apology. This should teach each and every one of us individuals out there that being "dan l'kaf z'chus" (judging favorably) is very real and very possible and not far-fetched at all.

All I can say is there is a G-D in heaven and he's the ultimate judge! I guess Mechel had to go thru this to prove to all the "wonderful" people out there that he is innocent.
Hopefully they can put all of this behind them now and get on with their life!

there are alot of people that owe him an apolagy for bad mouthing him,i can say there is no one out there that can say i helped him he had to fight this all alone and hopefully now he can get back on his feet and start again doing good things
