Los Angels, CA - Music Star Who Called Jews 'leeches' Dead. |
|
Last updated on: Jun 25, 2009 at 08:14 PM
In the past Jackson was accused of making anti-Semitic remarks.
In a series of audio tapes broadcasted in 2005 on ABC's "Good Morning America," Jackson is heard using anti-Semitic language in a voice message to one of his former advisers. "They suck…they're like leeches," Jackson is heard saying. "It's a conspiracy. The Jews do it on purpose."
The tapes were part of lawsuit filed against Jackson by two of his former advisers.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) issued a statement in 2005
claiming Jackson "has an anti-Semitic streak." Abraham Foxman, national director of the ADL, said "every time he has a problem in his life, he blames the Jews". Foxman referred to a similar incident with Jackson in 1995, when he wrote a song titled "They don't care about us" that included anti-Semitic stereotypes. Jackson later apologized for the lyrics and removed them from the song.
"It is sad that Jackson is infected with classically stereotypical ideas of Jews as all-powerful, money-grabbing and manipulative," said Foxman. He called on Michael Jackson to acknowledge the hatred in his words and show his fans that he rejected bigotry.
According to a FOX News report
in 2004 Jackson’s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, considered herself and kids Jewish.
Below
is from Jewish journal.com
Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, the rockstar rabbi who was a close friend of the, as of a few hours ago, late Michael Jackson when the two worked together on Heal the Kids,
“It is an American tragedy,“ Boteach said. “This guy could sing and dance—he lived the American dream and this is the end of the story. This is not what our values are supposed to be about.“
“It was obvious what Michael always needed,“ the rabbi continued. “He needed connection with God, spirituality and family. Michael was a Jehovah’s Witness and when he was a Jehovah’s Witness he was doing quite well, but then he had a falling out with the church and that is when all these problems began.“
Boteach hadn’t spoken with Jackson in five years, having severed their relationship when he no longer felt that he could help the troubled King of Pop. But speaking by phone from Iceland, Boteach sounded heartbroken talking about his old friend.
“To be honest,“ he told me. “I miss him. I know people saw him as a bad person. But that wasn’t true. he was a person with a lot of issues and sadly he never addressed those issues. But he had a lot of good in him. He just never overcame this toxic celebrity culture.
“The real tragedy is we all are envious of these big superstars, and they often are the ones who get the least help because they have so many enablers.“
The rabbi added that he had long feared this day was coming.
“When they announced these new concerts, I thought that was an omen. that was a bad thing. Michael was going to have to train extensively for these concerts, and from what I new of him, he was not in any mental frame of mind to be doing concert,“ Boteach said.
“Michael didn’t need more concerts; he didn’t need more album sales. He needed to rescue his life.“
Boteach also e-mailed this prepared statement:
My family and I have just heard that Michael Jackson has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers are with his children and the Jackson family.
Michael Jackson’s death is not just a terrible tragedy for three young children who will now be orphaned. It is also an American tragedy that affects us all. Our culture, in which fortune and fame readily eclipse family and life nurturing values, is claiming an increasing number of casualties. There was a great beauty and gentility in Michael’s soul. His talents far surpassed those of his contemporaries and he yearned deeply to make the world a better place. I am saddened that the emotional pain he lived with prevented him from finding the meaning and connectedness which he longed for.
The saddest aspect to this tragedy is that so many watched it happen and few did anything to stop it. I pray that Michael’s death will not be in vain and that we see a return, even among Hollywood celebrities to the spiritual and family values that are life sustaining.

Oh here we go, more celebration over someone's death. No one has to like the man, but to rejoice over the death of a human being, one who actually contributed thousands of dollars to people including Jews, seems a little bit unpleasant.

Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said an autopsy would probably be done on the singer Friday, with results expected that afternoon.
"Michael Jackson made culture accept a person of color," the Rev. Al Sharpton said. "To say an 'icon' would only give these young people in Harlem a fraction of what he was. He was a historic figure that people will measure music and the industry by."
Jackson's blazing rise to stardom -- and later fall from grace -- is among the most startling of show business tales. The son of a steelworker, he rose to fame as the lead singer of the Jackson 5, a band he formed with his brothers in the late 1960s. By the late '70s, as a solo artist, he was topping the charts with cuts from "Off the Wall," including "Rock With You" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough

Many Jews are busy remembering the Rebbe today, while foolish people are busy crying over the loss of a miserable pervert with no talent whatsoever, who made his living basically by being a freak. Anu ameilim vehem ameilim.
Boteach also makes his living by shocking people, and for him to desecrate Gimmel Tammuz by speaking of Jackson instead of the Rebbe whom he claims still inspires him shows what he is. Why be so negative? I'm not a fan of Boteach or M. Jackson, but its obvious that Boteach commented on Jackson because he got a call and was asked to comment. I don't see how that desecrated Gimmel Tammuz. Boteach's response was appropriate -- he tried to see and point out the good in Jackson and he spoke about the importance of a connection to G-d. How is that desecrating GT? Isn't looking for the good in people important?
Who are we to judge? Mr. Jackson had a sad, troubled childhood and obviously that haunted him. What is the excuse of all the people commenting here who are eager to dance on his grave?

To those who think he was a lousy artist, he is, was, and probably always will be the biggest selling artist of all time (that was true even before all the craziness). He sold 750 million albums, and was recognized with more artistry awards than any other artist.
Secondly, he is a 50 year old man who is dead. Why celebrate? Everyone here is always yelling "dan lekaf zechus!" when a yid is charged with a crime... this man was never convicted (not to say he was innocent)... so why all the hatred? Because he was weird? Because he was EXCEPTIONALLY weird?
If you know anything about his story, he is what I would call a "tortured soul". He was used and abused by everyone around him, including his own family. His tragic life over the last 15 years or so is now capped off by a tragic death that will leave 3 children without their father.
Don't get me wrong... I believe he probably did some of the things he was accused of, but I don't know for sure and none of us ever will, even though the judicial system found him innocent. Therefore, I choose to focus on the tragedy of his life and the pain and anguish his children must be feeling.

You were doing OK until "if you watch any interview that he talks about children you wouldnt believe he could hurt any".
A person's love for children proves nothing about his potential to be a child molestor. (in fact, i'll bet someone who hates kids and doesn't want to be within fifty feet of the noisy messy little pests is probably your best bet if you are looking for someone who is NOT a child molestor.)
All pedophiles love children. No pedophile thinks he is hurting his victim.

You did not see the hype he created on social media about his upcoming statement.
Boteach wanted to be and became part of the media circus on a day that he could have used to speak about kedusha. He is Chabad when it suits him and needs the credibility, and independent when he can do better that way.
Jackson's death is as meaningless as his life and should not even be a subject of debate on a Torah board. VIN, unlike Boteach, was honest and reminded us that Jackson was an anti-Semite. However, he was so inconsequential and such a freak that I don't believe he is even worthy enough of the rina part of ubeavud reshoim rina.
And like Britney who also sells huge numbers of albums, Jackson had no talent.
McDonalds sells billions of portions of salty, oily unhealthy food a year. Do their sales make their food good and healthy all of a sudden? (forget kashrus as neither Jackson nor McD is intended for Yidden).

Because the Jew he married had no connection with being a Jew and therefore he did not see her as one. A good person does not dangle a baby over a balcony.
And why we are even wasting time debating the meaningless life of this meaningles menuval is beyond me.

Again, I'll say that in his trial there was more than enough reasonable doubt to find him not guilty. While I do suspect he may have done it (or something along those lines), the family that filed the charges had a history of filing phony lawsuits and once even attempted extortion. They had been caught lying in court in the past. They were dishonest people who could not be trusted. Therefore, I leave these charges with a big question mark as I am 100% sure I cannot trust the family's testimony.
If you don't KNOW what really happened, how can you make a rational decision in your own mind about his guilt or innocence? On suspicion, I would never have left my kids with him.... but again... that is only because of my own speculation, not a factual basis.
The FACTS that I do know are that he he provided music for a few generations of kids that was not sexually charged, or racially charged like it is today. His shows did not involve half-naked women prancing around on stage either. The money he raised or donated himself for kids charities, building schools in impoverished countries, and to fight poverty all over the world is almost unmatched. Part of the reason he was nearly broke is because he would never go back on his commitments to the charities he loved so much.
If the only thing you know about this man was what you read in the tabloids... try looking deeper and realizing all the chesed this man did as well.

“MJ was found not guilty in his criminal trial."
You made the point exactly as it should be. He was found "not guilty." Translation: not enough evidence to convict. It does not mean he was innocent, only a lack of evidence. There are some questions as to what happened but his bizarre actions raise doubts and points to the fact that he acted like an M.
You also made the point in your first blog how he was a "tortured soul." Go to a state prison and you will meet many tortured souls. People who have gone through difficult lives are not excused from acting improperly. Hitler YM"S was abused by his father and may have had a Jewish grandfather. So what? Hitler will rot in hell. MJ may have gone through much difficulty in his life, but his actions and anti-semitism stick out like a sore thumb.

Your point are well taken. Which is why I clearly said that I DO think he may have done some of those things, but I have no evidence of it, and certainly little to no proof other than the testimony of known fraudsters was presented at the trial. Essentially, I have said "I DON'T KNOW".... and neither do you.
Secondly, your next statement is just foolish as it already assumes his guilt as FACT.... which it is NOT. He was horribly used and abused by people throughout his entire life. These "actions" of his that you are relying on for your argument are purely speculative you have no facts or evidence to prove he did them.... neither did the prosecutors. So to compare him to convicted criminals is nothing more than an unsubstantiated smear.
Third, this "antisemitism" as you call it, was non-existent. How many times do you hear yidden say things like "the shvartzes are ruining the neighborhood".... or they call the use of foul language "loshon shvartz". Are all of these people racists? We know that most are not. Michael Jackson had huge sums of money swindled from him by people who happened to be JEWS. His statement was directed at THEM. Sometimes, one must look at the context of a statement to see the genuine sentiment behind it. I am pretty confident on this as there are no other records of him making antisemitic comments. The issue of the song lyrics was so stupid I can't believe anyone gave in on it. It was supposed to be MOCKING racism and antisemitism... but of course, the PC liberals had to stand up and scream.
So for all the unproven speculation about Michael Jackson, everyone will just cast aside the tens of millions of dollars he gave to and raised for charities (including Jewish charities in NY and EY) all over the world. On pure speculation everyone here is ready to just throw his life aside as some kind of joke and mock him in his death. You should all be proud of yourselves. Nothing like good old-fashioned gossip and lies to fuel a debate erev shabbos.

“ the reason people think he did what he was accused of becqause he said that he lets kids sleep in his room on his bed,but he said it in the context of a sleepover, like when a group of kids all go to a friends house and hang out and sleep over, thats what He said watch the interviews on youtube,if you really care, obviously its wrong for an adult to have child friends and have them sleep over, but we are talking about mJ who was basically an adult child by his own admission, but he wouldnt hurt a fly it wasnt in his nature,he was framed and taken advantage of,he did everything for the family that accused paid for his medical bills gave them money, and the turned around and stabbed him in the back, people should do research before the curse someone out... ”
HE was photographed dangling a child over a balcony. A nut with no control who could have been harmful.
And not a topic of discussion for frume Yidden.

“ “MJ was found not guilty in his criminal trial."
What anti semitism? only a few years ago he joined in simchas torah hakofes at the carelbach shul and shabbos mincha at the stanton st synagogue.
he was a good friend to yidden!

i wish more people would comment on jackson's claim of many jews in the industry conspiring to swindle money from him because i hate to say it, i think there is something to his statements.........
supposedly somebody leaked a tell-all to jackson about how former advisers were trying to force him to go bankrupt...dieder wiesner and a partner (both jewish) were mentioned.......the father of the boy he supposedly molested was a jewish dentist in beverly hills...the mother wasn't and actually defended jackson (this was never advertised in the media)......one of jackson's lawyers it was later found out was working for sony while representing jackson (this was the guy that owned the porn ring - i forget his name but he was jewish too).....tommy matolla, head of a division at sony cancelled all marketing of invincible in 2001 after jackson told him he wasn't renewing his contract (matolla is jewish too).....and what's worse is abc, nbc, and cbs and the ny times and the tabloids didn't even report or emphasize any of this and well, i hate to state the obvious but almost all of those media outlets have a massive jewish ownership.......my views are not motivated by anti-semitism but if you follow a timeline, there are some very coincidental events that happened at very convenient times......the fall of mjjproductions (which you can't get virtually any information on) is another suspicious event.........
