Manhattan, NY - A leaky cruise ship carrying 848 passengers from Iceland is being held in New York Harbor.
A small hole was discovered in the ship’s hull during a routine safety inspection. About a gallon of water per hour was coming into the ship, according to the Coast Guard.
Chief Petty Officer Russ Tippets said that’s “a very small amount.”
He added that officials expect the damage to be repaired before the ship’s scheduled departure for Venezuela tomorrow.

A gallon an hour? 168 gallons a week? A small 12 volt bilge sump that sells for under $15 is rated at 275 gallons per hour and pumps actually pumps more. Left unattended it would theoretically be months before the vessels was threatened. i can't believe they even noticed it. libi omar li, it's the unions trying to get more money.
