They can go elsewhere in EY but are legally prohibited from stepping foot in Jeruselam under the court order. If they violate the order and are caught, they could be jailed for contempt of court.

can we say the same for the MECHALELLEI SHBOOSES??? Rioting while its not a "nice", is the only way to get the attention & slight cooperation from the yidden/goyim in charge. on the other hand, Mechallel shabbos is MOS YIMOS!!! (tell the mayor that this is what the "death threats" were all about)

They may have lived there forever but are still subject to the civil laws of EY. Those laws entitle them to protest peacefully or even to engage in non-violent civil disobedience (assuming the are willing to go to jail for violating the law). They were lucky the court only exiled them for 2 weeks. It could have been much worse.

While those driving to the parking lot on shabbos may have been violating halacha, you cannot be jailed for not being a frumme yid. There are many laws however about blocking the streets, throwing rocks at the police etc, which can result in jail time or as in this case, being forced to leave the city.

Are you saying that's right? Or are you just describing the unfortunate reality? Why is blocking a street worse than driving on it on Shabbos?

well basically one of the reasons that shabbos is such a big part of the torah/judaism is because one of the things that shabbos represents is belief in g-d,and one of the things that violating shabbos represents is denying G-d ,as indeed the torah compares it to idol worship.which is part of the reason that everyone knows that a public desecrator of shabbos can be considered as somone who completely threw away the religion, more than many other sins. so there you have chillul shabbos.
then you have "protesting"....
so its not really clear to me what the great sin (thereby chillul hashem) there is at all in protesting.Infact we find in the torah the OPPOSITE-that someone who does not protest ,it is as if he himself commited the act that he neglected to protest.
so perhaps we are referring not to actual protesting but rather people who conduct themselves inappropriately during a protest, so yes that would be a chilull hashem, depending on what exactly they did(if they did anything wrong at all. i know FIRST HAND, instances out of these protests of people who were arrested that were just walking by in the area) the same way any person who acts in a way that is not befiting someone in his position, can cause a chillul hashem. but certainly that is somewhat of a grey area, and nowhere near the magnitute of someone who publicly violates or supports the violation of the holy holy shabbat.
based on that i say that someone who violates shabbos causes a much bigger chillul hashem than a protester

"police DOING THEIR JOB"???????????????????? helllooooooo!! anyone home?? maybe take a trip to israel, because you obviously don't know whats going on.
NUMBER ONE:many of the police in jerusalem are NOT jewish, thats right sweeety, infact many of the are (at least partialy) arab.
number two:interesting to know that polices "job" is to angrily, viciously beat unarmed unprotected civillians, which is basically what happens at any protest here violent or peaceful.INFACT many people have been maimed for life cause of police beatings. it happened in gush katif, it happens all the time , the police here are pawns in a political struggle instructed to intimidate those who oppose the leaders.
so first come here and try and protest something here that you belive in, that doesnt happen to agree with someone sitting a little higher than you politically , and then talk about "other jews doing their job" as some arab or russian non jewish cop,(or even if it makes you happier some anti religious selfhating jewish cop) beats you over the head with his stick

Most of the posters here just don't have a broad view. The problem with chilul Shabbat in Yerushalayim is not that a parking lot is open. It is that people aren't keeping Shabbat. Closing the parking lot won't make people who don't keep Shabbat suddenly start. And clearly, violent, ugly riots won't make anyone start to keep Shabbat either. In fact, non-observant people are REPULSED by this behavior, which makes it an even greater chilul Hashem. If the protestors would set up tables by the entrance of the parking lot, give out fliers about Yiddishkeit and Shabbat, try to talk to the people coming and going from the lot about the importance of Shabbat in a loving manner--the way you would talk to your brother if you saw him making a mistake in life and you wanted to put him back on the right path--and have groups of people singing Tehillim and behaving like it is really a holy day, then there would be a chance of increasing shmirat Shabbat. What these am-ha'artzim have done has surely pushed people away from Yiddishkeit, has led to increased chilul Shabbat, and has pushed off the days of Mashiach. Of course they should be banished from Yerushalayim; it is only fitting that they be at a deeper level of galut.

ithe main protest is against those making decisions in the city NOT those actually driving into the lot per se. they just want to uphold the long standing policy of the city that public things close for shabbos

actually doing an aveira is the definition of a chilllul hashem. and a mitzva is the def. of kiddush hashem. an act need not be public to costitute chillul hashem, certainly the more people that see add, but that is not the only crteria

Nobody has the power to expel mechalelei shabbos from the city, so they don't have the right. Well, according to your logic, since these people have the power to throw rocks and set fires, they must have the right as well. So what's your complaint against them?
If you don't think might makes right, if you think there is an objective right and wrong, tell me what gives mechalelei shabbos the "right to live in Y'erushalayim, ear hakodeh", but doesn't give that same right to "Jews who engage in violent or disruptive behavior"? Which is a worse crime, disorderly conduct or chilul shabbos?

“ shame on thises troublemakers for making a huge chilul hahsem. they should be explelled from yerusalaim for a year! ”
If you first call for the expulsion of every Jew who breaks shabbos, then we can talk. Until then, you have no grounds for such a proposal.

In other words, might makes right. Tell me, do you feel the same way about the Iranian protesters, that the law of the land counts, and they should just accept it and pray for change?

“ How can rioting be "nice"? The rioters themselves were clearly Mechalel Shabbos and worse than that they forced others, the police, journalists to be Mechalel Shabbos. The "punishment" is a joke and they should be Makir Tov to the judges who let them off so easy. ”
How were they mechalel shabbos? And how did they "force" anyone to be mechalel shabbos? Did they make the police and journalists come there? Those people had the free choice not to come. Nobody put them in chains and forced them. What terrible thing do you think would happen if the police and journalists had not arrived? (Especially the journalists; why were they needed?)

“ of course the cops are not Jewish, especially if you don't want Jews to be Mechalel Shabbos and you insist on rioting on Shabbos, youare going to get the Goyim who work. ”
If you agree that they're goyim, why are you defending them? What makes you think they're NOT brutal animals who beat any charedi, regardless of what he's doing?

So you acknowledge that the police brutality exists, since he's a victim of it. But you say "no normal yid would make such statements". So what do you consider a "normal yid"? One who is unaware of the brutal nature of the Israeli police? One who imagines the police are nice people "who protect yiddin in eretz yisroel"? Is that "normal" or just "naive"?

The chilling aspect of this action is that the Supreme Court is acting more like South American Junta than a judicial body. Maybe instead of acting to promote particular Justices'personal agendas The Court behave like jurists to preserve the rights of all citixens not just those engaged in same gender relationships or ficticious Arab/Peace Now land claims. Democracy and free speach President Benish applies especially to those who disagree with the government.
Shame on you shame on you !!!!!
And this applies to enforcing administrative orders against Jews in Yehsa as well.

The very fact that we are willing to FIGHT for SHABBOS Observance is a KIDDUSH HASHEM...
How could fighting the desecrations of Hashem's Holy Shabbos be a chillal Hashem?
If anything, when Jews are silent as our Torah's commandments are trashed.... THAT IS THE BIGGEST CHILLUL HASHEM I could imagine.
We should be fighting to uphold EVERY mitzvah and commandment.
But... SHABBOS.... that is the biggie of biggies. That is mentioned by Hashem, our Creator, how many times in the Torah?
Milk and Meat is only 3 times. How many more times does Hashem command us to keep the Shabbos. He does so in so many different words and phrases... He gives us Reasons for it. He puts a CLEAR DEATH PENALTY on its violation.
One who openly violates Shabbos can't even be counted for a minyan.
We treat one who openly violates Shabbos as if he were an "Idol Worshipper"
That is not stuff from "Ultra Orthodox" Judaism.... that is just, plain Judaism.
So, to remain silent as the Shabbos is desecrated publicly is the CHILLUL HASHEM

Don't you get it that throwing rock and dirty nappies will NOT bring a single Yid to keep shabbos????????
If you are concerned about Shabbos, how about trying to mekarev them? Show them the beauty of Shabbos. Show them the beauty of Yiddishkeit. No. Instead you throw rocks and wonder why they continue ignoring your message.
Why do I feel I am talking to a brick wall? Is anybody home?

You are right, but why do you assume these 25 people did anything like that? Do you just take the police's word for it? They haven't been convicted of anything.
