New York - The World Jewish Congress is calling for Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone to resign after he was quoted as saying that Adolf Hitler "got things done, (as was reported here on VIN News).
In the interview with London's The Times newspaper, Ecclestone also said democracy "hasn't done a lot of good for many countries - including this one.
In a statement Sunday, Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress, says Ecclestone is not fit to serve as head of Formula One and calls on teams, drivers and host countries to suspend their cooperation with him.
Ecclestone, who owns F1's commercial rights, has drawn criticism before. He once said women should dress in white "like all other domestic appliances.

Unlike Sharpton in the Imus incident I don't need people to lose their job to know that I'm dissapointed in their comments.
And regretfuly the reality is that hitler did things done, unlike in the U.S. when the CIA or FBI thinks something is importanrt for the security of the country it takes a popularity poll by the pres. to see if it should be implimented and then with a dozen warm and fuzzy strings attached....

"hiltler got things done" like making sure that the entire world suffered because of his evil, mean, rotten, immoral, murdering, lowlife mind, and because he worked so hard to hide his feelings of inadequacy, for which he overcompensated by acting BIG.
His hatred caused hundreds of thousands of English people to be killed. Mr. Ecclestone should have thought of his fellow countrymen, even if there were no Jews slaughtered. Why did he choose such a lump of waste as an example of accomplishment? Winston Churchill accomplished much more, and Winston Churchill was victorious.
Mr. Ecclestone hurt the feelings of his fellow British citizens on purpose, so why should he keep that job? Why should they pay him to insult them?
