Bradford Campeau-Laurion says he was ejected from Yankee Stadium for trying to go to the men room during the singing of God Bless America
New York, NY - A baseball fan who says he was kicked out of a Yankees game because he left his seat during "God Bless America" has settled a lawsuit against New York City and the team.

The city did not admit liability and will give Bradford Campeau-Laurion of Queens about $10,000. It will also pay $12,000 in fees to the New York Civil Liberties Union.

A Yankees spokeswoman says the team will pay nothing and change no policies. The team says in settlement papers that fans at its new stadium are allowed to move freely during the song.

Ushers at the old stadium sometimes blocked exits with chains during the song. But the team said they were instructed to let through anyone with an emergency.

OK, so when midnight mass is on TV, I had better not change the channel, or the cable company could cancel my service?

Who is allowed to kick anyone out of a stadium with a paid ticket for anything which is non-disruptive or harmful to others?

If Chareidim in Israel refuse to stop their cars during the one-minute siren on Rememberance Day - do they have their licenses taken away or their cars confiscated?

What is this nonsense?

Poor Bradford Campeau-Laurion, he needed to use the john, just at that exact time and he just coincidentally directs a website, and he just happened to pick the ACLU to handle his case.
Oh, the terrible horrors he had to endure. We are going to find out which "MAJOR WEBSITE" he works for and who is paying him and why.
He gained ten thousand but what will he lose?

Crazy thing is that Yankee (and maybe CitiField) are the only stadiums where they play this during the game. In Yankee Stadium they made it a religion almost. Other cities, where they have normal people, are there for the game.

What a great country? Where I came from, you can be arrested and jailed for not saluting the Flag when the national anthem is being played.
