G8 is a group of 8 countries. One of the pictured people is representing the EU, which (didn't exist until recently and) is not a country; Sweden is the odd man out, but other countries do seem to be invited to attend so that would explain the picture.

That's a contradiction in terms. Did they also call for rain to fall but nobody to get wet? Or for the sun to rise but the darkness not to go away? If Israel could open the crossings without compromising its security, don't you think it would have done so a long time ago?
