Washington - Group Warns Congress Of Neo-Nazis In U.S. Military |

Morris Dees, a co-founder of The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group that monitors hate activity in the United States, called on Congress Friday to investigate racist and anti-Semitic activity among members of the military.
In a letter addressed to the chairmen of several committees, the organization said, “Evidence continues to mount that current Pentagon policies are inadequate to prevent racial extremists from joining and serving in the armed forces.”
“Because the presence of extremists in the armed forces is a serious threat to the safety of the American public, we believe Congressional action is warranted.”
In a similar call to action in 2006 directed at former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, the center requested that Mr. Rumsfeld institute a new zero-tolerance rule and enforce it. Former Under Secretary David Chu replied, asserting that the military’s existing policies were adequate.
Defense policy forbids members of the military from “active participation” in extremists groups. But the center said the policy doesn’t go far enough to address a more common problem with “mere members” who engage in “unaffiliated extremist activity,” such as posting or disseminating racist and anti-Semitic material.
Mr. Dees said the center recently discovered more than three dozen profiles of individuals who claim to be active duty service members on New Saxon, a neo-Nazi social networking site similar to Facebook. The letter is full of anecdotes of hate crimes perpetrated by soldiers or former soldiers.
The Southern Poverty Law Center has counted 926 hate groups thus far, a 54 percent increase since 2000, and 636 Web sites devoted to hate sentiments. The center estimates that thousands of service members are active in hate groups, although it could not provide a range.

He fights Nazi rats while putting his life in danger. Are you denying the Neo Nazi threat. I have been watching him for years. He speaks out strongly against Nazi and other vermins. Give credit when credit is due.

I don't know Mr. Dees, personally. But I'd rather keep company with Mr. Dees than with nazis. Besides. We have to take heed of his message. Because if we don't fix this problem, it will ultimately destroy the effectiveness of the US Military.

You should take it pretty serious that the neo-nazis are infiltrating the military and not where this guy serves the left or the right. Sociological research informs that gang members like these nazis often join the military. The problem is that they will receive military training and if they return home from their tour(s) of duty and resume their dark hateful ways, then its means double trouble for those they hate.

Yes, I am denying the threat. Mo Dees is a bigger threat to American freedoms than any neo-nazi.

As I said, the only such "research" is that done by Dees and his friends, who call anyone they don't like Nazis. What do you think you achieve by pointing me at some of their dog-droppings? If someone were to point you at some "research" at stormfront.org or some similar site, "proving" that Jews drink Xian babies' blood, would you bother to read it and "judge the evidence for its own merits"?

As I said, the only such "research" is that done by Dees and his friends, who call anyone they don't like Nazis. So why are you pointing me to that very garbage, as if I should be convinced by it? I can find you "research" that shows Jews drink Xian children's blood, hosted on stormfront.org or some site like that; but why would anyone bother to read it?
