The center, located at 2025 E. 71st Street, had reportedly received a number of threats during the day and a suspicious package was found in a trash can outside the center.
Tulsa Police say that a person saw the device and thought it was ticking. Evacuations are underway at the community center.
Children at a day camp next door were evacuated to the Marriott across the street.
**Update**
Tulsa police now say the suspicious device found, was harmless. The bomb squad investigated the so-called "ticking device" and discovered it did not contain any harmful material.

I am surprised that there are Jews in Tulsa. Unless it is like york pa which has so few Jews that it celebrates "diversity"
