Jerusalem - Peres Aide Meets with Eda HaChredit Representative |

Jerusalem - In a move initiated by President Shimon Peres, his aide Yosef Avi Yair Engel met with a representative of the anti-Zionist Eda Haredit umbrella organization on Thursday night in order to try and calm the situation in Jerusalem.
Vilent protests continued to escalate in the capitol and in Beit Shemesh as hundreds of haredim demonstrated over the arrest of a Neturei Karta woman suspected of abusing her 3-year-old son.
According to Israel Radio, the purpose of the meeting was to persuade the woman, who is five months pregnant, to agree to undergo a medical examination.

I dont doubt that the mother was sitting with the child in the hospital 24/7. Everything points to munchausens syndrome. Do some research and youll understand what everyones talking about. It doesnt help anyone to assume that this is some crazy government scheme. If they wanted to hurt the chareidi community they would not do it this way.
What makes me sad is that in a few days when the hospital provides incontrovertible evidence that the child has NOT recieved any chemotherapy (as the mother has asserted and that can be tested very easily), its going to be a very hard blow to the chareidi community and its really going to undermine two decades of effort to bridge the gap.
I really hope that by some miracle the mother is right, but at this point, from my experience in abnormal psychology and pathalogy I can say that everything I've heard coming from the mother and anyone who claims to know her all points to munchausens syndrome by proxy. We will not know for sure until either the mother shows us the insurance claims for chemotherapy or the hospital publicizes the alleged surveillance footage of the mother removing the feeding tube during a hospital visit.

To Londoner, Whilst again i have no opinion on Mother versus Hospital, as i simply do not know the fact's , i do have great sympathy for the mother, her baby & the entire family involved. But once again i ask you, do you think that the response of the vulgar rioter's is the way Hashem want's us to respond as good ehrliche yidden? Are you not ashamed of yourself for trying to condone such behaviour on the streets of Yerusholayim? Are you not scared of the tumult in Shomayim as to one of the greatest Chillul Hashem in recent history? Let's all take on extra Massim Toivim, zug a bisil Tehilim, make our tefilos count ect. ect. and only in these ways can we be zoiche to a true yeshua for the poor baby & his family.

Do some research. What the shvigger describes is a typical description of munchausen by proxy - i.e. being in the hospital 24/7 (she does have other children and a husband) and bugging the medical staff about every detail of every procedure.

A pregnant lady deserves better treatment than this, She is not a threat to society. Why does she have to be locked up while they gather evidence and prepare the prosecution? All the protesters are saying is "LET HER OUT ON BAIL", DON'T TREAR HER LIKE A STREET CRIMINAL.
In the US, some lawyers would have a field day with such a case.

You are in denial if you think that Hashem did not give us the tools (Torah) for us to decide the proper way to respond in this unfortunate situation. If it is true that the police treated the woman unfairly, that is wrong. However, we cannot lower ourselves to their level. We are judged by how we act in every given situation, so we have a big responsibility to make an example to non-observant Jews on the proper way to act.

So how about you tell us how to respond to this after having attorneys politicians trying and after saying tehilim day and night. What else can be done to stop the hatred against chareidim. Of course. The way to stop the hatred against Charedim is to burn the holy city of Yerushalayim and injure policemen and bystanders. We should have thought of that before. Great idea.
