Tokyo – Japanese Minister Signs Transfer Order for Imprisoned Bochur to Israel

    76

Tokyo – VIN News has independently that The youngest of the three yeshiva students imprisoned in Japan confirmed will be transferred to Israel to sit out his sentence in an Israeli prison. Japan’s Justice Minister Eisuke Mori signed the transfer order submitted by Israel. The bochur, who received a sentence of 5 to 8 years, can now officially be “deported” from Japan.

The 19-year old bochur is expected to be transferred to Israel in the coming days. Two representatives of Israel police will depart for Japan to bring the bochur back. They will meet with representatives of the Justice Ministry and have to sign a thick sheaf of documents before the bochur will be given over to them. The family will be charged all traveling expenses for the bochur and the police.

A secret two hour meeting was held between the Japanese Justice Minister and the dayan Rav Chaim Yosef David Weiss of Antwerp in the minister’s office two weeks ago concerning the fate of the three bochurim. The transfer of the bochur was brought up then.

Israel and Japan are co-signors to a bilateral prisoner transfer treaty. Israel’s Justice Minister, Yaakov Neeman, had to send a transfer request before the Japanese Justice Minister could give his approval to the transfer. International pressure helped obtain Japan’s agreement.

In addition to saving the bochur from the harsh conditions of Japanese prisons, Israel wants him in the country so he can testify at the trial of his recruiter.

This story teaches us a great lesson that when klal yisroel works together there is success, we can do the same and get moshiach if we work so hard all together.

Boruch Hashem. Whatever he did or did not do, on purpose or not on purpose, he will now be treated in a much more gentle way.
I am glad to hear this news.
    Thank you VIN as usual!

Dayan Weiss, Antwerp, and his brother the Horedonke Rov, Manchester, have done much for these 3 bochurim! They are, like all the others involved in this case, silent hero’s!
May they merit all the blessings of Heaven and continue their great work amongst our people!

What will happen if the chereidim now violently protest that he should be released (once in Israel).

Will the government cave in (to that too)?

I’m confused they are taking this bochur from the japanese “chasidie umos h’olom” & giving him over to those “ZIONIST AMOLEIKIM” aren’t they afraid that in the zioni jail he would be staved to death (hey they do it in their hospitals) or force him to shmad & chilul shabbos (they are trying to do it in yerushalayim) so when exactly are our (amoleikim) brothers kosher & when are they the worst ? I guess we are really into “BISHVILI NIVRO HO’OILOM” & “ONLY BISHVILI !!!!!!!

B.H. I am so happy. It must be so scarey to be in prison there. These boys have been brought up sheltered (i think!) and I am sure they didnot really fully understand what they were doing. Why would they! My son who is more worldly would also not really understand. IYH the other two boys should be released very soon, I can’t believe they have not even had a court appearance yet. I don’t know how they have survived it there

“The family will be charged all traveling expenses for the bochur and the police.”

I wonder what they charge arab thugs and their families when they take them in buses up to the border?

Seems like the state could cough up some money especially if “Israel wants him in the country so he can testify at the trial of his recruiter”.

If there were no prisons for the Bochur to be transferred to, I believe the job of the Askanim would have been almost impossible. B”H that He has given us a political entity that can negotiate with foreign governments on behalf of Bnei Yisroel.

In this time where we mourn our losses and reflect upon their causes, let us all work together to make lemonade.

this whole story reveals a major flawin the satmar/ultra charedi educational system. To be naive is not a mitzvah. Yiddishkiet is not narrow mindedness, and if you promote Tzimtzum, you may end up in a Japenese jail on the way to Lizhensk. the dangers of being sheltered are not less than those of being overly exposed to the secular world. This is a wake up call for all parents to make sure their children get a decent education and a balanced exposure to the WORLD and Torah.
Not everything of pre WWII Europe should be transplanted in the US or Israel. The Shmoogleing and Machloikes should be discontinued. we live in a time that with a good education and hard work you can earn a nice living and live an ehriliche life without public assisstance, etc.

It appears from these foolish posters that the Shidduch Crisis has been solved. May all of your children marry, get jailed & burn in h***. You deserve eachother!

I am crying at this wonderful news. At least they will have access to kosher food.
Baruch Hashem, that there is an Israel, even if it is run by Zionists. At least we can treat him with mercy and have him testify against the ones that caused this to happen. Everyone wants something for nothing, and so many of us fall into all kinds of scams even if we dont “fall into” jail. We are not being stupid, just a bit too greedy and gullible. It can happen to anyone, and crime is big nowadays due to the recession. Many people are uninformed, trusting, and so honest, that they cannot fathom another’s dishonesty. We cannot keep up with the newest daily scams, and they are all around us. Hashem Yerachaim. We should only hear besuros tovos. & greet Moshiach very soon!

To all of you using negative language and accusing the boys: you are doing the same crime that thses boys did. They just did it begashmius and u beruchnius.
They are suffering their consequences in japan while you might suffer the consequences up in shomayim.
    That’s all I can say.
Please wake up. Its the 9 days. Do teshuva. Don’t post if you only have negative comments to make.

I am also happy this bochur to be transferred to Israel, hopefully it will be easier for him, but I just do not understand, why when a frum Jew gets in trouble, everybody have rachmonos of him on this site, but when a non frum Jew is in trouble – everybody hates him here? Aren’t we all are brothers?

Hey since when are we all so perfect? We mess up sometime, does that mean compassion should not be used! They did not murder people, like the terrorists. Does the Torah not say “treat someone the way you would want to be treated” If you messed up I’m sure you would want a second chance to! When we heard about these boys in Japan prison (where they lack compassion for all types of criminals )My insides were churning I along with klal yisroel felt their suffering. That is what makes us one nation! If one cannot feel another jews pain then one should question themselves as to which nation they truly belong to!

As an ex-prosecutor I was not sympathetic to the boys until i read that article in Mishpacha Magazine and boy did I do an about face. It is a BIG nebuch on these boys. I hope the other two boys’ lawyers will be successful. Those Rabbanim are my heros, I just wish we 50 more of them. Anywhere is better than Japan.

I’m talking to all heartless commenters here that are talking so horribly about the boys. I understand they did a crime and they ARE guilty but if someone uses such dirty language to attack other commenters, they are doing a crime against hashem

They are guilty in bringing in drugs but they definitely could have been fooled into it. I don’t know. They probably didn’t know what they were doing but even if they are guilty, they still don’t deserve what they’re getting.
I hope they have a whole yeshuah soon.
My original point wasjust that pple should stop using such bad language in any posts, not only here, and hopefully we will cut the 9 days down till 1 and moshiach will come today!!!

Well, I’m not sure if I would ever accept a free trip abroad to a foriegn country, without actually checking in to see what and why I am being asked to deliver it.
Why is this person willing to send me to – Japan- for free, all expenses paid trip, without even fully explaining it to me??? Its true, those that grow up in a yeshiva are sheltered and are not explained to them what could happen in the real world- even if he sounds and looks like a ‘frum’ yid! You just never know.
    isn’t that ‘pashut’?

I get tears in my eyes just visualising the boy’s mother being able to hug her son. When she visited him in Japan, she was only allowed to see and talk to him behind a glass window.
