Deal, NJ – Dozens of arrests are taking place across New Jersey this morning and many public officials — including the mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus, the deputy mayor of Jersey City — are among those being taken into custody.

FBI and IRS agents are making the roundups all across the state in what is being described as one of the biggest investigations of its kind in Jersey’s scandal-plagued history.
It appears to be a corruption related investigation but justice department and FBI spokesmen would not comment on the details this morning.
Arrests and searches are underway across Jersey City, Secaucus and numerous Hudson and Bergen county locations.
In past years, New jersey has seen more than 100 corruption-related arrests of public officials. No word on the specific charges against those being rounded up today. A press conference is expected later today.
Among those arrested this morning were Jersey City Deputy Mayor Leona Baldini, Hoboken Mayor Peter Camarano and and Secaucus Mayor Denis Elwell, authorities said that the arrests are for international money laundering and corruption probe that includes community leaders, five rabbis in the Syrian Jewish communities of Deal and Brooklyn.
Agents also raided religious institutions to make arrests and collect information. An employee at the Ohel Yaacob synagogue on Ocean Avenue in Deal said authorities searched the office early this morning.
Which rabbis are they talking about, anyone heard any arrestes this morning?

FBI spokeswoman Myrna Williams tells The Associated Press the arrests will go on till noon. She would not provide any more information.

Make no mistake the goverment has a lot a patients when it comes to those things. They will follow you for months and years, until they have a solid case.

What a complicated country this place is changing in to. You can get arrested and publicized picture brake families, tons of money for lawyers etc. AND FOR WHAT?
No other civilized country in the world behaves like this. They can arrest you for so many reasons more then the amount of recipes your wife has in the kitchen. Think about it if you a family of 6-9 ( and blessed is he who does) and wants to go to any place, party-outing-occasion, and he drives in his vehicle but does not follow the rules of lets say NYC, he can loose his license, fine of over $1000 and more.
Now did the elected officials take in to consideration bigger families other then their own? I can bet you non of them have more then 2 kids and a dog so how is that correct representations? Are we with big families correctly understood and taken in to consideration, Tuition-Kosher food-Tznius dressing etc.
NO THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND US + for most of these law makers family, respect does not mean much!
