Jerusalem - NJ Probe: Money-Launderin Cash May be From Israel |

According to court documents obtained by the Post, one of the rabbis detained, Eliahu Ben-Haim, used a source in Israel to supply money through "cash houses" in exchange for a 1.5 percent fee.
Former Jerusalem Police chief Mickey Levy said Friday that Israeli authorities were not yet involved, but he didn't rule out such cooperation at a later stage in the probe.
In an interview on Israel Radio, he stressed that there was "no investigation against the Jewish community, only against alleged criminals."
The FBI revealed, however, that among the 44 people arrested on Thursday was a second Israeli accused of sourcing cash. Authorities arrested Levi Deutsch, charging him with funding the bank checks that passed through the rabbis' charitable organizations, according to court documents.
Deutsch reportedly traveled frequently between Israel and New York, and told the FBI's cooperating witness that his source of cash was the "diamond business" and "other things." He also said he worked with a Swiss banker who charged "two, three points" per $1 million laundered through him.

By the time this is all over, they will be dragging yiddin on to police wagons in EY as well. We need to be davening and saying tehilim to root out this cancer from within klal yisroel. The whole world is watching this affair with glee and the consequences for hews around the world will be more attacks, more discrimination all in the name of a few money grubben yiddin.

I went by Masbiah a few times last week during lunch time and it was locked. Once there was a scary looking yid how quickly unlocked the chain on the door, walked in, and quickly locked it behind him. Very shady looking place. I never saw anybody eat there.

I agree with your statement 100%, I don't understand how he had the chutzpa to entrap your Rabbi, I am not Syrian and I have never met your Rabbi, though I feel very bad about his situation.
May G-D bless him that all his charges should be dropped immediately, he may have broken the law but he is a man of G-D and he definitelly did not have criminal intent while doing it, so he should be let go. Peace and love.

Wrong goyim have soup kitchens and charities as well. You can praise our community without knocking others.

If your statement is true then I have to apologize. I was unaware of this. It is just that I had this image of seeing a line of hungry yidden waiting to enter yet each time I passed the place was locked. However, ewach time I passed by was lunch time. My appologies.
