Pisgat Ze'ev, Israel - Six Torah scrolls that were stolen from the Or Hachayim synagogue in the northern-Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze'ev were returned to officials of the synagogue this evening, after they were found in the nearby Palestinian Authority Arab village of Hizme.

Thieves broke into the synagogue six months ago, stealing the scrolls, along with shofars, ornamental cups and other items. Detectives stationed at the Hizme checkpoint found the scrolls near the checkpoint just before dawn on Monday.

The Torahs were returned to the synagogue officials in a ceremony at police headquarters.

The screaming, rioting Charedim now have a chance to act fairly. They should make a rally and honor the police for finding and returning the Torahs.

Let's assume your sister were in prison for a week and being treated horribly. Let's assume you tried every diplomatic way to get her released and treated properly.
Let's assume you lived in Isreal and know that after trying everything your Rebbe now tells you it's time to start protesting. Wouldn't you protest.

You see it worked for this poor women.
Until you don't hear the charedi side of the story, don't be so quick to judge.
You may have to eat your words and it'svery humbling to do that.

Actually, the ones to thank in this story are Arabs, not the Zionist police who are good only at beating up Hareidim.

They are holding it like a hostage, threatening to mutilate it unless they are paid a ransom.
