Washington – The Senate Appropriations Committee has approved $300,000 for infrastructure improvements in the Village of Kiryas Joel. The village will use the money for road repaving, widening and drainage, traffic signals, and pedestrian safety sidewalks and curbs.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand said she “aggressively lobbied” members of the committee to include the funding.
“Investing in infrastructure projects will help create jobs and help rebuild our economy,” she said.
The funding must now be approved by the full Senate, the House and ultimately be signed by the president.
