Washington – prominent Jewish group slammed the White House yesterday for bestowing its highest civilian honor on a woman who critics charge has expressed hostility toward Israel.

Mary Robinson, who was Ireland’s first woman president, presided over the 2001 UN Durban Conference on Racism, which the United States boycotted for its bias against Israel and its final outcome document that equated Zionism with racism.
But White House spokesman Robert Gibbs held firm to the decision to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Robinson as a “crusader of women’s rights.”
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee ripped Robinson for showing “hostility and one-sided bias” against Israel when she served as the United Nations high commissioner for human rights from 1997 until 2002.
AIPAC called on the White House to “repudiate her views on Israel,” but Gibbs said President Obama believes she deserves the award, although he does not endorse her views.
Using the same logic, Hitler would deserve an award for the “good” things he accomplished as Chancellor of Germany. He revived the German economy, built highways and made sure that the trains ran on time…regardless of the destination!
And you people are surprised? The only surprise is that Obama’s administration didn’t do it on Day 1. Oh, but he was too busy calling Abou Abbas & bowing to the Saudi king.
Almost 80% of American Jews voted for Obama. He received this majority, primarily from cardiac Jews (they have jewish hearts) and gastric Jews (who like Jewish cooking). He received very little support from those of us, to whom Judaism is the air we breath, the entirety of our existence.

Obama is no friend of Israel. No “mispalel” in the ” Bet Medrash” of Reverend Wright, can possibly be our friend, in any manner shape or form. The Rahm Emanuels of this world, at best , are “chazer fisslach” . The sooner the rest of us learn that, the sooner the Jewish influences in government, for what they are worth, can unite against this force, to help modify it, for the next three years, and to defeat it afterwards.
It is clear to say that OY!BAMA feels the same as this woman.. I’m sure he would also want to be recognizes for the good, regardless of the havoc he is causing. He is probably thinking treat others the way you want to be treated. The problem is that when you take pity on evil then you don’t take pity on those who truly deserve it.

There is no linkage between the issues. I’ve attended awards dinners by yiddeshe organizations for public officials who may have targeted money at jewish institutions or have voted for foreign aid for EY, but otherwise have miserable voting records on other issues of concern to yidden like children’s health care, pollution control, more assistance for the disabled etc. When it suits our agenda, we are very good at compartmentalization. Don’t be a hypocrite.
Her response was that the uproar was by the Jewish lobby who attempts to bully people. ANd anyone who believes that Obama does not share her views is a fool.

Most secular Jews in America are avowed Democrat voters. That is their religion. They “believe” that the Democratic party is good; Republican is bad. It is the closest thing to blind faith. As far as Chareidim that vote Democratic, they vote this way because they think the Democrats will have economic aid programs for them. The Charedi vote for Democrats is based on self interest; the secular Jews vote out of blind faith and belief in the Democratic party “religion.” Which vote has the most integrity?
They were the non-Jewish elite of Egypt.

More insidious, states the Vilna Gaon, the Erev Rav will not just be average Jews but the elite of the era, the “head,” just as they were in Egypt.
