Refael Miriashvilli, a single 25 year-old coordinator for Yad L’Achim combating anti-Jewish activity, went missing three weeks ago, leaving few traces or clues to his whereabouts.

Before leaving his parent’s home in the city of Lod, he told his sister Sarah he was taking a train to the north of Israel. “I got a new job. Tell mom I prepared her dinner,” he said.

Four years earlier, Miriashvilli was sentenced to a year in prison by a Tel Aviv court for kidnapping an Arab man who was involved with a young Jewish girl. She was pregnant at the time.

When he first disappeared, his mother Chanie Miriashvilli didn’t connect the two incidents. But hours later she filed a police report, only to be told ‘these things are common.’

This past Friday police visited the Miriashvilli home and took DNA samples, COLlive has learned.

The reason was a rotting body found in an abandoned building near the Beit Dagon Junction.

An initial investigation revealed that the handcuffed body lay there well over a week.

Police have yet to release an official statement on whether the body found is in fact Miriashvilli.

Everyone, let’s not give up hope. Yad L’Achim are heroes. I am going to start B’N supporting their anti-missionary efforts again. When I was a bachor I always bought their wall calender. They are tzaddikim. HKBH will bless them and all that help them. AMEN. Say tehillim….

Yad L’Achim, is in my personal opinion one of the most amazing organizations in Klal Yisroel.

He may be alive, which would be good. He may be dead, which would be sad.

It sounds like he got a lot of people seriously angry. If you commit violent crimes because you disapprove of whom they sleep with you stand a good chance of ending up face down in a ditch. People in the real world just don’t take kindly to violent, criminal religious fanatics. It could be the family of one of his victims. It could be for any of the reasons why men kill each other – money, women, a criminal enterprise gone bad, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. At this point it’s all speculation.

#15 you are simply misinformed. Studies have shown that virtually %100 of israeli women married to arab men in villages such as the one this women lived in, are suffering from the worst types of physical and mental abuse!

Even if I were misinformed, how would it signify.

Men kill each other for all sorts of reasons. If this guy was murdered – and that’s just speculation at the moment – it could be for any one of them. And if it was because of his political activities, well, here’s a guy who committed violent crimes against strangers for political reasons. They may have been good reasons or bad reasons, but there’s no denying that’s exactly what he did. If you do that sort of thing your chances of dying at the hands of other violent criminals or political opponents or the families of your victims rise sharply.

That’s the way the world works. It really is that simple.

Today’s news reports that the body discovered was him. Dayan ha emet. However, if the articles are correct, then the police should have let him leave the country as he was clearly in jeopardy. One of the pillars of Arab culture is personal revenge.

Are you really comparing a heroic life saver and rescuer, to a kidnapper???
    I don’t understand your thinking!!
You are SO wrong about saying that what Yad L’achim does (in targeting the predator who holds a women captive) is equal to Kidnapping.
That is the kind of redaric you can expect from a “court” with a special agenda.
But WE should not be repeating such nonsense!!!!! Should we?

Just think about a women in YOUR life who you are close to, (mother, sister, wife, daughter etc.) would you still be saying what you did???

Out of curiosity, PLEASE tell me why you took the angel you did:
Was it a Mistake? — or do we need to question who you really are?!!!
