Tripoli, Libya – Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi says much of Africa’s violence is due to foreign meddling and that Israel in particular is to blame for stoking conflicts there.

Gaddafi’s comments came Monday during an extraordinary African Union summit scheduled to coincide with a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the coup that brought Gaddafi to power.
he Libyan leader blamed much of Africa’s violence on what he described as intervention by unnamed “foreign powers,” bent on plundering Africa’s natural resources.
While Gaddafi and other African leaders often blame foreign hands for stoking internal divisions, this was one of the most explicit and targeted Gaddafi outbursts in many years.
Like most Arab countries, Libya does not recognize Israel.

Lemme get this straight…the man who snuck in, behind the kings back (While he was on a medical retreat in Greece) is blaming, someone else (forget for a minute that it’s Israel) for the violence in Africa. To my limited knowledge, Israel doesn’t have many trade agreements with the Tutu Tribe, or a defense contract with Zimbabwe, or a blood diamond trade with South Africa, or even getting chach’kis from Kenya.
Isn’t it the warlords in Uganda, Somalia, Rwanda, Congo and Nigeria killing their fellow country people, for money women, and just for the fun of it?! and isn’t it Libya and Sudan causing world strife by not acknowledging certain other countries the right to exist? Excuse me but it seems like he’s the one causing problems.
To Anonymous #4 : Blaming Israel often has little to no connection with reality or fact. To many people in the world, particularly Arabs, the accusation is enough. Khadafy (or however his named is spelled) is simply looking for cheap brownie points by bashing Israel. Those who already hate us will believe him; those who know what kind of loony-tune he is will simply roll their eyes and ignore him.
This is a stupid man whom the entire world knows is nothing more than a terrorist.
Israel has little to no involvement in anything in Africa, and the US (under Bush) certainly had little or nothing to do there as the genocide in Darfur clearly shows.
Ghadafi is just a pathetic little man who tries to stay relevant by getting the antisemites of the world behind him. He has absolutely no power, no weapons, and his words may as well be coming from a muppet. We have nothing to fear from this old, washed-up terrorist.
It is just a shame that Bush decided to begin normalizing relations with him. I think it is time for Obama to “undo” another Bush-era policy.
yeah, and the Jews poison the wells, invent AIDS, control the economy, control the media, steal organs from Arabs, kill children for blood, etc. If its bad, then the Jews do it. Isn’t that the old story? They are at war with us because they don’t like the idea that G-d watches them and makes demands on them. To them, we are G-d’s people and so they have to find things wrong with us to deny G-d.
I ask ….is there anything else in this world that we the Jewish people have yet to be blamed for?
Blaming Israel promotes the meconflict/process, it’s not about Israel.
Jews and Arabs have been advantaged in the same sphere for decades. They’re peers.
People won’t take time to think (do nothing) and see the obvious. (It takes time to think.) Little encourages people to do so. We’re encouraged/queued to mimick the arbitrary. This is the nature of hierarchies, we mimick.
Blaming Israel/Jews is arbitrary and opportunistic. The non-aggressive regional minority State cannot be transgressor of the thriving regional majority with half the world’s energy resources. The portrayal of majority victimhood by proxy (Palestinian) is necessary to avoid the obvious contradiction.
But it’s not about Jews and Arabs or Religion.
Monarchs, dictators, transient officials, pundits, pop stars, search engines, univ departments and businesspeople mimick authority. MIMICK. (Qaddafi isn’t breaking new ground here. He’s mimicking. As did Sweden recently. As do funded activists.)
The conflict/process is sustained militarization, found in varied places worldwide. Militarization is negative reinforcement. Negative reinforcement degrades life as a matter of perception.
The difference between two people is their pov. That difference is a hierarchy. This is a stratified hierarchical system. Negative reinforcement supports a hierarchical system by encouraging focus on a singular value.
Reality is ceaseless transit between values (pos-neg-neutral). A pattern of movement. This is a primary construct which does not require explanation or change.
(Reality as a singular value would have no parameters, could not be defined and conciousness would not exist. Therefore Reality is not a singular value, it’s something else.)
The individual can understand all of this and remember to focus on the positive and neutral along with the negative. Away from headlines and history; most of reality by far is uneventful routine (neutral).
