Fox 5 News reports that he is accused of violating terms of a protective order of consent.

The judge accused Kerik of using his attorney to leak information to the press in an effort to taint the jury pool in a trial he faces.

Kerik had pleaded not guilty to charges of lying while being vetted to be Homeland Security secretary.

President George W. Bush had picked Kerik to run the department established in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

During interview with aides, Kerik denied having any financial dealings with contractors seeking to do business with New York City. But prosecutors say contractors spent more than $255,000 renovating his apartment.

I don’t know who is behind all this,
but this has clearly been a whichhunt all along to bury him (and possibly Guliani as well) by someone, and i’d love to know who this someone is.

This again shows the high quality of individuals that Bush appointed to key positions in his cabinet. Remember “Brownie” in FEMA, the hero of hurricaine Katrina, those chachomim running the SEC who looked the other way anytime someone complained about Madoff or those kids just out of some southern bible college law school who were running the justice department as if it were division of the Republican National Committee. While I have problems with some of the Obama appointees, they are at least competetent.

did you forget when the bailouts were given out? if i recall correctly the bailouts were given out once obama was elected and only because obama pushed former president bush to give the bailout.

“However, the economic mess started long before he came into office (Jan ’09). Although the signs were there much earlier, the actual collapse began in early 2008 under Hank Paulson.”

Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA), for example, described Franie and freddie as “not facing any kind of financial crisis.”

”The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”
    -Barney Frank

The. Point is simple. When Gorge Bush wanted to reinforce an. Agency that will oversee the financial. industry. The Dems said that its unnecesary..
Barney Frank and other Democrats as written in the times article, made the claim that no help was needed..
