Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset al-Megrahi is reported to have died

Sky's political editor Adam Boulton said: "Official sources in Westminster are seeking to confirm reports that the Lockerbie bomber may have died.
"Al-Megrahi was released controversially in August from Scottish prison by SNP Justice Minister Kenny MacAskill, on compassionate grounds.
"At the time, it was claimed he had less than three months to live, because of prostate cancer."
The Lockerbie bomber's lawyer has denied reports that Abdelbaset al-Megrahi has died.

I know how we all feel l'maseh but doesnt the Torah say "Binfoil Oyivcha al tismach". We dont say whole hallel on the second part of Pesach for that reason, and that is over the egytians who killed more people than this Yemach Sh'moi!

He served eight years for murdering a plane load of 20 year old college students. Assuming an avergae life span of 75 years that would over 15,000 people years that he took in exchange for 8 years. I personally do not believe such a person warrants compassionate behavior for anything. That includes not removing fire ants from his underwear even if he was a quadriplegic.

the same reason we dont say whole halel second half of pesach. Chazal said "masai yodai tov'u bayom, v'atem oimrim shira?!"
