New York, NY - Mayor Bloomberg's 6 percentage point loss to Controller William Thompson in Brooklyn revealed deep frustration with the mayor.

When the Daily News asked Kings County voters what they want from Bloomberg during his $87 million third term, the message was loud and clear: Brooklyn voters want Millionaire Mike to come to their neighborhoods and feel their pain.

Oh, and while you're at it Mr. Mayor, could you please provide more cops who write fewer parking tickets?

"He has to go into those neighborhoods and and listen to the complaints in the streets," said political analyst George Arzt.

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz - who supported the mayor - said many Brooklyn voters seemed angry about the way costs have risen under Bloomberg's watch.

"Brooklynites are saying, 'Enough of nickel and diming us,' " said Markowitz.

Public safety was a major issue in Crown Heights, which went for Thompson, though with a decent Bloomberg showing.

Yehudy Fely, 40, a local businessman said he wants more cops and less parking tickets.

"Bloomberg should actually take care of crime, instead of sending the police here to give out parking tickets," he said. "It's easier for them to write tickets for leaves on your sidewalk than to go after criminals."

Suzanne Spellen, 54, of the Crown Heights North Association, agreed that more cops would be good - but also wants "better policing" by cops who know the neighborhood, and a "sense that city money is coming over our way. A lot of people in this community don't think that [Bloomberg] cares about us," said Spellen.

Unfortunately now people are saying we should've voted the other way. I did!
Bloomberg will do whatever he feels like. He does not listen to what people has to say. He just pretends he does. Think of what he could have done with all the money he spent on campaigning. In my opinion, it was not a normal thing to do. It was just something to prove his ego. Someone in the ego stage is between birth and 3 years old. So load yourself up on quarters to feed those meters. If the meter is not working, you are taking a chance parking there.
Let's start taking pictures of the meter maids and cops ticketing.
Let's start taking pictures when such as police, fire or EMS who are not on call double park, block a bus stop or a pump to get their free cup of coffee or pizza when not on call!

I live in Brooklyn. My property taxes have increased by about 120 percent since Bloomberg became Mayor. I see no reason to stay in the City. Property taxes in Cedarhurst are less. I can get a lot twice the size I have in Brooklyn for about the same property tax in Cedarhurst. Bloomberg shoved the property tax increase down our throats without any hearing. Why is everyone just focusing on parking tickets? We are being drained of our hard earned money by the thousands of dollars in property taxes. By the end of this term, I suspect I''l be paying as much as my Lawrence friends.

He's taking advantage of the hard working middle class. We don't have the time to protest since we are working too hard, so we just swallow it.

If he would have as many cops waiting for the real criminals as he has them waiting for people that drive cars Brooklyn will be crime free.

You get less in small Cedarhurst in return though. Where in Brooklyn do you live? There is no-way property tax in flatbush or bp cost more than 5 towns.

Bloomberg told many jewish leaders that he will raise property taxes again to close the 5 billion dollar budget gap. All you fools voted for this so don't complain. When many said don't vote for Obama but you did anyway because you didn't like Bush for whatever dumb reason. This is what happenes when you dont vote with your hear or your brain but vote with something else.

You had a chance now suffer for the next 4 years.

A lesson in politics is very simple instead of listening to every person running for a position that promises he will do whatever you want to hear just go online and look up their records. All records are public and you can see everything any politician vites on and does all day. Mike Bloombergs record is not a s great as yout think.

Secondly, all we heard from his campaign people for the lasy year is the claim we should vote for Mike because of clean streets, less crime and clean streets and less crime and education was a little squeaker line.

Mike promised no taxes but now in less than a week says he will have to raise property taxes! When will you ever learn to stop believeing a politician?

I'll bet there are about 1 million or more registered voters in NYC who are kicking themselves for not going out to vote last Tuesday. Those would be the ones who believed the polls that said it would be a landslide. The joke is on you and the name is Bloomberg The Arrogant One.

BTW, if you didnt vote, YOU HAVE NO SAY!

Obviously we are saying you should have looked at his record instead of listening to bumper sticker slogans ala Obama's campaign. You need to vote & vote with your HEAD!!!
