Meah She’arim, Israel - A woman from the Meah She’arim neighborhood of Jerusalem, who is being tried for starving her son, has given birth to her sixth child at nearby Bikur Cholim Hospital.

The woman’s relatives say the baby was taken to the neonatal intensive care unit in the wake of the mental pressure to which the woman has been subjected lately.

The hospital says the newborn boy’s condition is good.

Question, why wasn't her sick child brought to Bikur Cholim hospital to begin with. Second question, don't they have a video monitor on such sick children so the nurses can keep a close watch on them, or was that just set up to watch the Mother closely? Because if they have video, wouldn't they have documented video of what the doctor was doing to the child as well?

I have always been curious. Every parent has a right to switch doctors if they have a lack of faith or confidence in their doctor. If they did not trust the arab doctor why did they not say they want a different doctor?

why would any one in their right mind use an arab doctor? maybe he is theone that was doing something to the child

Of course this baby is healthy...in order to starve him she'd have to starve herself, & according to her pictures she wasn't doing that. The problem could be if she goes postal on this child too. Oy! What a mess. Innocent children suffer because of their parents. We just can't understand how a Jewish mother can do such terrible things as we have seen recently.

Anyone remember the BP/Kensington mother who killed her child a few years ago (I think she pushed her down the stairs.) We mustn't ignore warning signs by thinking OUR parents couldn't possibly do things that we read about in the papers.

Unfortunately she appears to bea victim of organized crime, the hospital did not prove yet with real evidence that this accuse mother has done something wrong.
The fact that all her kids are doing fine, and her husband backs her all the way, are just a few more reasons to believe she is innocent.
And if you add the corruption and known experimental practices of some Israeli hospitals in general, and specifically Hadassah, the picture is quite clear that this accused mom is innocent.

why would an arab doctor be any worse of a doctor than a Jewish one? It's not as if every Jewish doctor is a great doctor.

I'm not sure any of us can help this situation but judging either side of the coin. When we do that, we are only are placing our opinion based on what we perceive is true, not what is actually real. She could very well have starved her children, but us making that assumption will not benefit the children. It will only attack a woman who is clearly in need- whether or not she is guilty of the act. Truth is important, but our comments really aren't- unless they have a real purpose in helping this situation- so let me ask you, how are you helping?
