New York - Yirmiyahu Cohen of Natruna and Larry Gordon, publisher of the Five Town Jewish Times will be debating what the Toldos Avrohom Rebbe said regarding his positions on the State of Israel.

This controversy was started when Mayer Fertig, publisher of the Jewish Star, editorialized that the Five Towns community should support the many needy local families first, and particularly not support the Toldos Avrohom community in Israel because of their anti--Zionist platform and links to recent violence in Jerusalem. Its a show you don't want to miss!

Find out tonight at 12 midnight on Talkline with Zev Brenner---Tune in to WMCA 570 on the am dial or via http://www.talklinecommunications.com

Zev Brenner is one of the most decent people in the radio media world. How many people do you know that always have both sides and different opinions on the same air waves?

Would you rather have people lying all the time about what gedolim in eretz yisroel said or did not say and have us all confused (eg: shaitels, strawberries, concerts) or a radio talk show host that brings the truth into our households?

nothing to do with this particular matter but you have no clue what the true meaning of chilul haShem really is.

protesting against an avayra IS NOT a Chilul HaShem. Becoming violent during the protest, may be. Stamm a protest - as in a peaceful protest - is NOT a Chilul HaShem in the very least.

it is how you protest
why aren't these holy people learning torah instead of wasting time protesting?

This Rebbe happens to have 2 things on his mind & that's all you will find around him.
1) Ahavas Yisroel, he loves every JEW no matter what u look like or what your thoughts are.
2) Avoidas Hashem, his goal is just give his life away to Hashem.
Anyone that has ever visited him can testify to this. People may be mistaking his younger brother (Toldos Aharon Rebbe) for all these protests. No one has ever heard the Rebbe say anything about the state of Israel, he might agree against it but it wasn't heard beacause his Rebbe, the (viznit) which his holy father send him to learns there is Pro Israel so for that respect he will never act against it.
On the other hand his YOUNGER brother who took over Toldos Aharon Shul will always be busy against the State of Israel while pocketing money from them, we heard on the show tonight that he evem had an Israeli TV station come to their shul & had a 30 minute interview with people from TOLDOS AHARON. I really wonder why the Rav of the EIDA HACHAREIDIS has not come out against TOLDOS AHARON.

As someone posted, "just ask the Rebbe himself."

Who in their right mind would believe what is published in a newspaper or radio show? Every press avenue has significan interest in making money so in order to make money, they have to sell ads and in order to sell ads, the medium of press has to have an audience and in order to have an audience, the press need to publish sensational, exaggerated and even false stories.

If anyone has an interest in the views of the Toldos Avraham Yitzchok Rebbe, contact him and hear his views from him alone. Do not trust or believe anybody else!

Why dont we all relax and STOP this nonsense, are there not enough problems facing the Jewish world, and Yidden, that we have time to pay attention to such Shtussen. Germany didnt care whether you were a Zionist or an an Anti-Zionist, Rebbe or no Rebbe, had a beard or no beard Payes or no Payes, Hungarian or Polish, etc, etc, etc. Have we not lerarned anything in the past seventy years. Sinas Chinom, the hatred of one Jew for another Jew, is our most serious problem which is holding back Mosiach. This is what we ALL should be paying attention to and solving first. Everything else will then fall to the wayside. YIDEN, YIDEN wake up, and STOP this useless bickering!!!!

"Mayer Fertig, publisher of the Jewish Star, editorialized that the Five Towns community should support the many needy local families first" - this is the part of the whole story I find interesting to begin with. Local 5T families who are needy? Could it be they got to be needy by insisting on living in an area they really couldn't afford to live in in the first place?

And so what's your excuse for not keeping Shabbos(or as you would say shabbat) its obvious from your demeanor and the way you you label frum yidden that you are not frum, because otherwise you. Wouldn't talk that way. So stay the way and keep attacking jews and let's see where you uktimately end up.

#37-- Are you really as ignorant as you sound? Do you honestly think all people living in 5 Towns buy mansions or live in luxury? It might surprise you to learn that there are simple, hard-working people, who have lost their jobs, who need assistance. Talk about Sinas Chinam! Shame!

I don't about you, but my torah says if you study torah and keep mitzvos "ushavtem livetech bi'artzichem" you will dwell securely in your land. Comes a long a group of modern orthodox zionists and they tell me "Those bums wasting their time in kollel should join the Israeli Army and make an active contribution ot the security of the state." I don't recall Mordechai Hatzaddik taking up arms against Haman's plan to destroy the Jews. He gathered 25,000 pure Jewish children and learned torah with them. Chizkiyahu Hamelech didn't mount an offense against Sancheriv's 185,000 Assyrian officers parked outside Yerushalayim. He said "Hashem, I made sure klal Yisroel studied Torah like you said. I did mine, you do yours, I'm going to sleep." And 185,000 Assyrian officers didn't wake up in the morning. And today? Modern orthodoxy, i.e., Judaism without G-d, tells us we have to kiss the feet of the mechallalai Shabbos, Ochlai nevailos and treifos, bo'alai nidos in uniform because they are protecting the Bums in Kollel. AFRA LIPUMEI!! It is the people in kollel that are protecting the people in uniform. If you don't believe that, then what ever your religion may be, it sure isn't Judaism.

the rebbe's modern chossid made one mistake - there is some difference between Belz, Ger, Mir, et al, and Toldos Avraham Yitzchok is that in TAY (nor the rest of the Badatz members) they do not vote nor officially take funding from the government, and the others from Agudah they do.

the one who says Satmar's influence on the Badatz is shrinking doesn't understand what Satmar's influence it. Although they are right that the influence is shrinking, it has nothing to do with the influence of the old Rebbe ztl nor his holy shitos, but rather the influence of the present Rebbes of Satmar.

To the one who said Rav Isser Zalmen Meltzer ztl praised rav kook, that was before rav kook came out with his more controversial statements. Very few yeshivishe yeshivos today study rav kook's seforim (maybe Chaim Berlin but not sure - they definitely respect Rav Kook there more than other yeshivos).
