Jerusalem – Israeli Radio Host Incites Jerusalem Police to Use Violence Against Charedi Protesters

Israeli Radio Host Natan Zehavi Issues Call to Violence Against Charedi ProtestorsJerusalem – In an exceptionally venomous broadcast on Israel radio this morning (Sunday) following yet another Shabbos marked by demonstrations, host Natan Zehavi of 103.fm lashed out against Jerusalem’s charedi community, saying he pledged to give NIS 1,000 “to every policeman who is called a Nazi…and gives him a big whack on the head with his billy club, and smashes in his mouth and teeth.”

The self-styled “non-conformist” radio host and writer unleashed a long, ranting diatribe full of blatant incitement to violence.

“These charedim, though they study fulltime, are quite a bunch of ninjas. They’re in good shape, and they run around throwing rocks and demonstrating. Just give them the chance and they’ll carry out a lynch against people sitting in a car,” said the 63-year-old radio personality.

“We owe thanks to the policemen that rescued the unfortunate people who found themselves in the powerful clutches of the thugs with hairs on their faces, the funny hats on their heads and the weird coats in the middle of the heat.

“But what really bugs me, is that day and night policemen in the State of Israel are constantly being called ‘Nazis.’” At this point Zehavi incongruously lumps the demonstrators with national-religious protestors in Judea and Samaria, and during the evacuation of Gaza.

“…The belittling of the Holocaust has become a symbol of certain communities,” Zehavi continued, again drawing no distinction between the charedi and the national-religious camps. “I hereby declare,” he said, raising his voice to a pitch, “that HaRav Nosson Zehavi ben HaRav Yankel Goldveitz will give an NIS 1,000 prize “to every policeman who is called a Nazi by a settler or a charedi Shabbat demonstrator, and gives him a big whack on the head with his billy club, and smashes in his mouth and teeth.”

I’m sorry these yidden I really feel bad for them but they should arrest them & put them on trial, lock them up & then maybe theyll learn

On top of the current violent behavior of the police and their brutal force, the Jew hating secular radio wants to incite them to even more violence? and all this is happening in a “Jewish” state..

WHY is this violence different from the violence in gush katif in 2005 both groups were/are fighting for their ideology (both clamming either shabbos or kdishas hoaretz as an excuse for the violence). if violence is wrong its always wrong. why do we see the same people who where supporting the people in gush katif now saying this is a chilul hashem?

history says, that the satmar rebbe when he sent out his chasidim to protest 40-50-60 years ago agianst the mixed swimming pool being built in jerusalem, or when the zinonsist wanted to draft girls in the military, he was labeld a “mechalel sham shumayim”… so after all all these protastes being labled as doing a chilul hashem” have great company…

Call him what you want and not that I agree with any thing he said but sooner or later the Charedi community is going to face a formable opposition that down the road can lead to extremist among the none Charedi that can lead in a sense to a civil war.

One sad thing about this host though is, that his father still had a Yiddish name – Goldveitz and then came this oif’geklerta son and changed his name to Zehavi to blend into the secular isreali society. Its sad to see the way he bashes chereidim about their dress code and chassidus, when his grandfather or great-grandfather very much possibly wore this style traditional garb…

The day will come, Zehavi, when Your child or grandchild will return to his jewish roots and wear that chareidi uniform…

” saying he pledged to give NIS 1,000 “to every policeman who is called a Nazi…and gives him a big whack on the head with his billy club, and smashes in his mouth and teeth.”

When one person called someone a nazi yesterday, we hear from this individual. In Amona, when the settlers referred to the police as “nazis” numerous times, including statements to the media, people of this individual’s ilk stay queit. Interesting.

“…The belittling of the Holocaust has become a symbol of certain communities,”

This statement coming from the society that brought in the Russians, who are largely not Jewish and many are affiliated with Neo-Nazis. So this is how it works: call someone a Nazi, if you are charedei, excoriated; mizrachi, acceptable; not religious- promote it.

I find it horrible to use the term Nazi under any of these circumstances. Saying it, promoting it or anything else is unacceptable.

There are people, even Rabbis, in the Chareidi community in Beit Shemesh who have explicitly stated that the only language this “eruv rav” understands is violence. Fortunately we have managed to find more intelligent ways of dealing with the criminal behavior of some of these Chareidim.

I don’t condone the call for violence by this radio guy. Mostly because it would just bring the police down to the level of the criminals. But I certainly understand where the sentiment comes from. It’s very frustrating to watch such criminal behavior continue unchecked on a regular basis. Minimally the police should be arresting many more of them and prosecutors should be sending many of those to jail.

It’s amazing that the police don’t club more of these cretins. I don’t know many people that could tolerate being called a Nazi day in and day out and not respond. IMHO, the police are certainly on a much higher madreiga that the violent protesters.

He is totally right, and I would myself beat the crap out of these chareidim that scream Nazis, how stupid can you be, so ignorant, is this what the nazis were all about? what do you want from those Police officers that are doing there job, this was an illegal protest without a permit, so it is against the law, and they are doing their job (a term chareidim don’t know), face it your in galus, like it or not.

#1 is right. Does anyone really think that you are mekayem the mitzvah of tochacha by doing things that will incite the chilonim to do even more aveiros? Does anyone actually think that these protests are effective at all? What happened to being a ohr lagoyim?

If it would be as simple as this “zheavi” makes it they would of done it long ago! Its already 60 years from the beginning of the this farshultana medina they tried evry method they could come up with including heavy club beating’s (actually a few chareideim were already murdered trough the years by protests like this) and it all ended up in vain! The chareidim are there to stay and only becoming bigger and stronger! So sorry mr. zhavi you can try your stuff in Uganda they might like you there!

If he would speak in this same way about the Arabs, he would be sitting in a jail cell. When Arabs riot, the leftists say “they must have a reason,” and “we should investigate the root cause of their unhappiness,” and when the Arabs have a high birthrate, we are told that we must prepare to give away parts of Eretz Yisrael to the Arabs when they become too numerous.

I agree with talk show host Natan Zahavi and I think the police are cowards for not using pepper spray or the like to disburse these bored hooligans, they are a violent fascist group that look for opportunities to fight.

I don’t know how many of you actually listened to what the man said, but I agree with him 100%. He is absolutely right. There is no excuse for calling any Jew a Nazi, certainly not the soldiers and police who are doing their job. As the host said, enough is enough. Maybe those hooligan idiots will change their tune if someone cracks a few skulls, and they will stop embarrassing those of us who are now ashamed to be called Chareidim, given the awful Chilul Hashem they are causing.

I would contribute money to help finance this cause.

In all generations jewish people were targeted by jew haters from gentiles and from our own so called brothers too (and they all backed their hate by logical sounding ideologies), but what happened in the end? none of their voices are being heard or recognized to date and they are all gone by now, and versus the attacked jewish communities from that generations although they’re not here anymore but their traditions and values are still here!! And here to stay!! FOREVER!! Until moshiychas day. Venetzach Yisroal Loi Yeshaker..

To all of you that continue to claim that the protests do not accomplish anything.
You obviously don’t understand the purpose of protesting. When a person sees his father being beaten by someone, even if they are in middle of nowhere and the son can’t really help, he will still scream at the top of his lungs because it hurts him deep inside that his father is being beaten. The gerrer rabbi said “When you have pain you scream” regardless if it will help you. If a yid does not scream when hashem’s torah is disregarded then it is a sign of either he does not consider hashem his father and is totally disconnected or that he simply does not understand how hashem is being beaten by his own children. The goal is not only to accomplish, but to say to hashem, we feel your pain and it hurts us too and that why we scream.

There is what is known as kedushas hashabos especially in the city that housed the bais hamikdosh. Such blatant behavior against our Torah,ie kedushah tahara, tzinius, family values. Israel became a jungle and any jew that can club a jew is a Rasha, or a Druze, either way he earns the title of nazi

This whole ordeal reminds me of the “yevonim” and “misyavnim”, Intel would resemble the actions of the yevonim bringing in sin to the holy land, and the commentators covering for them against all ehrlicha observant torah jews act as the misyavnim (or the “eruv rav”).

Can some of u chareidi bashers explain to me why the zionists were allowed to free the state of isreal when moshiach is not here yet? Aren’t we in exile?how do u define this?if jews should have a jewish state (even though hashem didn’t give it back to us yet) why is there no sign of jewishness in the medina?why can’t just the city of jerusalem in a jewish state be mekadesh shabbos?

I am afraid that if any haredi jew gets this done to him by the police, inspired by this broadcaster, then this broadcaster will get punished very harshly in this world and the next.
Maybe he is a maisis umadiach, and in that case it is an extremely rare situation in which it i permisible to kill him (e.g.through curses), even in these times.
