Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer says Maurice Clemmons was shot and killed early Tuesday in a Seattle neighborhood. Authorities suspected Clemmons of killing the four officers at a coffee shop Sunday morning in Lakewood, a suburb about 35 miles south of Seattle.

Troyer says Seattle police found Clemmons after Pierce County authorities supplied addresses of possible hiding spots.

Police have said they aren’t sure what prompted Clemmons to shoot the officers as they did paperwork on their laptops. Clemmons was described as increasingly erratic in the past few months.

This man was a career criminal. One of his latest crimes was raping a young girl, after being let out of jail, again! Our criminal justice system needs to be more about protecting society, and enforcing sentences of people like this murderer. Glad the tax dollars will go somewhere else rather than a trial for him.

So they shot this guy because he was a suspect? Whatever happened to his constitutional rights to a fair and speedy trial?

Good. One murderer less to worry about getting out from jail and repeat his killings.

Naturally, because it was police he killed.
too bad the FT Hood murderer wasn't a policeman, they'd have made sure to get him too.

No - they didn't shoot him because he was a suspect. They shot him because in the course of attempting an arrest, he made a threatening move. That is perfect legal justification for shooting him.

what happened to the constitutional right of the police officer to life, liberty and justice. I believe he had a good and speedy trial either from a Glock or a Baretta and to savings of the taxpayers. Amazing that all of you constitutional advocates don't question the plight of the families of the police officers

One of the dying officer returned fire and inflicted on this individual abdominal injuries and his fine family helped him with gauze . This action is called aiding and abetting a criminal.
