New York – Daily News Editorial: Two of a Kind: Barron and Jeff Wiesenfeld are Knuckleheads

Barron and Jeff WiesenfeldNew York – For being so infantile as to descend into two minutes of moronic, high-decibel trash-talking in front of dignitaries and students at a groundbreaking, City Councilman Charles Barron and City University trustee Jeffrey Wiesenfeld today share the ignominy of the New York Knucklehead Award.

It is a wonder Barron has escaped the dishonor until now. He once objected to sitting near a statue of “slave-owning pedophile” Thomas Jefferson in the Council, made a stink over naming a street after racist kidnapper Sonny Carson and played City Hall host to murderous Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe.

On Tuesday, he showed up at a ceremony marking the start of construction of a new Fiterman Hall, a Borough of Manhattan Community College structure damaged by falling debris on 9/11. He didn’t like where he was seated or the order in which he was to speak.

So he moved and demanded to deliver his remarks sooner, declaring at the microphone, “I don’t like disrespect.” Then he took offense that Mayor Bloomberg and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer had not lavished praise on him or on a cadre of CUNY students for their supposedly pivotal roles in getting the building underway.

Wiesenfeld, who has a reputation for vocal flamboyance, couldn’t leave Barron’s delusions of grandeur alone.

    “You’re a disgrace!” he yelled.

“Be quiet!” Barron retorted. “Ain’t nobody talking to you.”

    “Disgrace!”

    “Sickening racist!”

    “You’re a disgrace!”

    “You shut up!”

And on and on and on into the annals of Knuckleheaddom.

    Lol lol
That’s all I can do when I read this story, comes to show us what has become of the u.s.a if these are the kinds of people who become leaders. Barron is a typical african american racist. while the other fool is a hot head and should be punished in one way or the other for stooping to barrons level by shouting back! Lol lol

Barron is a bigot. Jeff is a man with zachrus that put Barron in his place. By the fact that he was called ‘racist’ by Barron, shows that Barron felt he was slighted.
