to #3 .lets the facts be very clear .we are talking about 3 emty lots wich have been vacant for the last 20 years & 2 small houses wich is being used by 2 small businesses. those owners clearly new & where told stay away from this area as your property may be subject to eminent dormain. plus all the owners will get top dollars on their property. f.y.i all the politician voted in favor of this rezoning .

For your information, the lawsuit does not mention 1 word about taking away properties or eminent domain, its about the height of the buildings and the apartment size. Marty needleman and his partners want to build 20 story towers and smaller apt. while the current plan that was approved by the city council has a maximium height of 7 floors and about 50% of the units will be 3-4 bedrooms.
As a matter of fact under the needleman plan much more propertys will be taken away.
What a shame that 2 jewish groups are among those suing the city for helping yidden

my only concern is why wasnt more of williamsburg zoned for residential. The entire industrial williamsburg waterfront should be rezoned. It will generate millions for the city and cause an ugly blighted neighborhood to thrive

UJO made a major mistake here, they worked to rezone the whole area to rezidential and as a Maatan Schuro Btzido they asked to get a square block where they will be able to build housing but instead of trying to get an empty block which there is from Pfizer a lot of empty square blocks they made a mistake and decided to take away from a couple of Yiddelech they thought were not going to fight them, but now these yiddelech are fighting them tooth and nail and this will delay the whole rezoning for years.

For all who weren’t involved this planning..
UJO had the ability to work around with the plans (as you see they didn’t take the full block just zig zag, they skiped the lot of pfizer which is on bartlett street)
The question is very simple why didn he croos out the few lots that belong to his jewish brothers!!!
Because they are not so powerfull as pfizer so you can take addvantage of them????
Nobody is against building affordable, its just a mater of right planing, which UJO failed to deliver.. Its a shame..

I Just read the lawsuit and I must say its a Shanda that the planning on UJO’s behalf was done so poorly! Pfizer Pharmacuticals is a Multi Billion company and owns over 16 acres of land in the Triangle area, why didn’t UJO sit down with them? They could’ve gotten a lot more affordable housing from Pfizer’s properties?
