Jerusalem – A 50-year-old man from the Jerusalem area divorced for the 11th time, a new Israeli record for Jews, according to an announcement released Monday by the Rabbinical Court Administration.

The man, whose divorces were performed both in Israel and abroad in accordance with Halacha, said his custom is to divorce his wives every two years and look for a new bride immediately after.

“I throw out a hook and the fish come on their own,” the man reportedly said.

In his latest marriage, which also lasted two years, the two sides split the debts the husband had accrued. The woman claimed her husband had promised to work but ended up living off her assets and those of her parents.

From all his marital escapades the man has only one child, to whom he is unable to make child support payments. The man said that he regretted divorcing his first wife because it set in motion a never-ending search for the next “experience.”

The man has actually been re-setting his own record for the past several years. The previous Jewish Israeli record for divorces by a single person was six.

Why would a normal woman want to even marry such a guy. She’s just an experience. There are better ways to waste 2 years of your life.

This guy is a menuval big time. He gets “bored” of his wife quickly so he needs another one every 2 years. This guy is a low life. I’m surprised this made it to vin.

Right from the start, he ordered wedding invitations with the kallah’s name left blank.
This way he could fill it in manually as needed and save himself alot of money!

Unfair for anyone to have any “taanos” on him. The article states right at the beginning that it’s his minhag, and we all know that how important it is to observe minhagim!

Do you know in Mishnah time, it was a custom for some people (like travelers), to marry a woman for a short period of time? She was notified before Chuppah, a husband wants to marry her for two month only!!!

What I find quite shocking, is that he could only achieved this record (11 divorces) by having more than 10! Which means there are other(s) with a previous record of 10 divorces!!! Am I the only one who already finds this number incredibly high?

I knew a guy who was married for his 8th time, to a woman for her 7th time. Each had numerous children from previous marriages. People find this very hard to fathom – how can they get married & divorced so many times. I found it difficult too, until I met the guy and the answer was simple – he has such charm and charisma. Plus he was loaded and spent his money well with good taste.

Does anyone have a picture of this guy so women can be forewarned to stay away from this selfish man in the future?

It says that 11 is the record of a Jewish Israeli. Does that mean that there are goyim in Israel who have been divorced even more times?
