NCIDENTS IN SEATTLE AND SYDNEY HIGHLIGHT CONCERNS
Dear Neighbor:
We live in a safe community. Even in times of international tension we know that our local police, in cooperation with our neighborhood patrols, keep watch and are “shomer” over our families.
Still, the attacks on Eretz Yisroel have emboldened some to take out their hate on religious institutions in the United States and overseas. As we prepare for Tisha B’Av, I want to invite you and your members to a special emergency town hall meeting to discuss efforts to ensure our safety.
What : Emergency Town Hall Meeting on Jewish Community Safety
When : Tuesday August 1st @ 6:30 PM
Where : Avenue N Jewish Center, 321 Avenue N, Brooklyn (East 3 Street)
Who : Representatives of the NYPD, Joint Terrorism Task Force, Department of Homeland Security.

 About 150 people representing Mosdos came with representatives from the Governor, the Mayor, CITY COUNCIL PEOPLE, FBI joint task force on terrorism and NYPD.
Weiner pushing hard for grant money for Mosdos from Homeland security.

The homeland security grants will be distributed mostly to UJA affiliated institutions (and temples, etc.) and the rest - if anything is left will go to larger yeshivas
