Kiryas Joel, NY - Gov. David Paterson made two campaign stops in Kiryas Joel last night, first at the home of Mayor Abraham Wieder and then at the home of a 37-year-old businessman who hosted a fundraiser for the Democrat.

Photos provided by guests show Paterson in similar scenes at both events: seated in dining rooms with desserts and drinks laid out and surrounded men in black hats and coats.

One guest said Paterson spent about 25 minutes at Wieder’s Fillmore Court home before driving with Wieder and Kiryas Joel Administrator Gedalye Szegedin to the home of Akiva Klein to drum up campaign money.

Klein, co-owner of a New Jersey business that sells cameras and other products, and Kiryas Joel builder Jacob Sofer, 38, organized the fund-raiser, according to the source. It was unclear on Monday how much guests were charged and how much money was raised.

Yup. I would want to to go on record supporting the biggest boondoggle of a governor. Nobody has enough sense to figure out that this is about "we want more money!" Silly thought.
