    * A field hospital, the only hospital in operation, with 40 doctors, 25 nurses, paramedics, a pharmacy, a children’s ward, a radiology department, an intensive care unit, an emergency room, two operating rooms, a surgical department, an internal department and a maternity ward. The hospital can treat approximately 500 patients each day, and in addition will perform preliminary surgeries.
    * A search-and-rescue team, which has rescued about five people from under the rubble.
    * 220 personnel in total
    * Dozens of truckloads of medical and logistical equipment

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, one of the richest countries in the world, has sent a message of condolence to Haitian President René Préval. Some Arab countries have “pledged” help, such as $1 million pledged from both Kuwait and Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates says it will “shortly” send a plane with humanitarian assistance. Qatar, with the third largest gas reserves and the second highest GDP per capita in the world, has dispatched 50 metric tons of aid to the hundreds of thousands of homeless and injured Haitians.

Latest reports are that the IDF Medical Corps have treated some 200 injured people in Haiti, performed ten life-saving surgeries and saved the lives of 140 others. On Sunday night, a resident of Port-au-Prince gave birth to a boy at the Israeli field hospital. In appreciation and gratitude, his mother decided to name her new son “Israel” in honor of the country that helped her.

Mee ke amcho yisroel. Of Course Israel will send help to Haiti. What is the Saudis headline today. 80 year old marries 12 year old girl . That is what is important to yishmael. They didn’t even help their own Palestinians in proportion to thier wealth. Ishmael is a nation of znus like the gemorrah says.

theres a volunteer ambulance group from brooklyn (goyim not jews) who sent over 120 people to help with the releif efforts in Haiti. and they are doing it with bigger humility and tznua than the publicity seeking jewish groups. im getting a little tired of this. true chesed shel emes is done anonymously. jews can learn someting from the bedford stuyvesant volunteers.

Try to find this story on CNN, FOX, or any of the major news outlets. Not there! You will find stories about Icelandic, British, American etc rescuers. It seems that none of the reporters have been able to locate any Israelis.

israel has done too much damage to its reputation. they need to improve their PR in order for the world to look at them positively.

“They” will never love us – at least, not until Moshiach comes – but we do what is compassionate and right because THAT IS WHO WE ARE !!! There may ( tragically ) be a sprinkling of madoffs / rothsteins / tropplers amongst us, but we are still, ultimately, “a light unto the nations …”

Wow, so evan as a whole country when you ‘aid’ and ‘donate’ you feel the need to be praised and vindicated? Helping people is a SELFLESS act….a country is destroyed but YOU need attention for helping? That is so gross.

If only the Israelis would put an Israeli emblem/flag on all of their equipment. On the news, you see machinery with Hebrew lettering; the world doesn’t know Hebrew. For once & for all we need to show that Israel & the Jews are the most caring & humanitarian…

Let’s examine why Israel sent the aid. If it was a public relations gesture, then we all know that PR has its own slow way of propagating. If it was a humanitarian effort, we should let the effort be its own reward.

Arabs are happy to welcome you into their home, give you a cup of Turkish coffee and then stab you in the back and smile. That is their way in this world. That is why they have squandered their oil wealth and have nothing to show other than a few buildings and developments that will fall to the ground in 80 years when their wealth will have run out completely. Hopefully, Yidden will invent a new battery or engine technology that will put them out of business even sooner.

So bottom line, this is the best thing that could have happened to the Hatian Economy. You get rid of a few hundred thousand people. You get Billions in World Aid. You now have the opportunity to rebuild a strong vibrant economy and country. I do feel sorry for all these killed and wounded people, but in the long run this has the potential to really help the surviviors prosper. It’s too bad the world had to wait for a catastrophe to help the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

Well, here is a true fact. All the media is owned by Pro Israeli People. Of course it will show a good image of Israel. why it didn’t show the crimes that Israel has done in Gaza a year ago. All of a sudden, Israel became so caring and shows sympathy….I don’t think so people.

There is an awesome Kiddush Hashem video on You Tube called “Israeli Doctors In Haiti” – Fox News. Also, in yesterday’s NY Daily News – I think page 7 – an article about someone from the Haiti government that was rescued by Israelis, has a brother in Queens and was cheered on when rescued! With a big great picture of 2 Israeli soldiers with a Hatzalah member in Israel.

Wow! Was so happy to see at least this much!

A chaver of mine in Israeli government told me that this rescue team is essentially on a practice mission lest anything similar happen in Israel.
For the doctors and nurses, this is “training”.
They’re still helping people tremendously but everything has its reasons.

Thank you Israel for your wonderful help in Haiti. I only wish that we here in the USA would learn how to deploy help as you do.
May God be with you and may you always be with God.
May God reward your many acts of Kindness.
We are praying here at the Monastery for all the relief works and you.
    Shalom,
    S Florence

Look, of course it is hardly news that Israel, the nice, friendly, human loving, democratic country is doing its part, Israel is just doing what the well informed people of the world expect Israel to do, if a great country acts like a great country it would be news. Just saw a Dutch paper in the supermarket with on the front page an article on the Dutch rescue workers in Haiti, telling that they were shifting from searching for survivors to finding the dead bodies of Dutch citizens, and that an Israeli team was helping them to identify their dead. What more do you want? This is a disaster, not the world expo of rescue teams…

israel is doing the right thing but what happened with gaza.and some of the arab countries did donate like saudi arabia which donated 50,000,000.aid comes in different ways and haiti needs whatever help they can get.and whos bright idea was it to compare israel and the arab countries.obviously its gonna cause more conflict.and after seeing all the comments thats what it looks like.its acts like this that lead to terrible wars and massacres, so lets all just hold hands sing and take a walk in the park.
