Newburgh, NY – The mayor of upstate Newburgh said he wants to host the trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed and other terrorists.

Nicholas Valentine — whose small city 60 miles north of the Big Apple is right next to an Air National Guard base being mentioned as a possible trial site — said the relocation of the case would be a win-win.
“I look at it almost as a tourist attraction. The international attention would put Newburgh on the map,” an excited Valentine said.
“So many people would be following the trial. The businesses around here would benefit. People would be going to restaurants and traveling around the Newburgh area who’ve never been here before.”
Valentine said he’s not concerned by security risks because federal and state law enforcement would be brought in to secure the trial.
And he went one step further. Valentine noted that Newburgh just opened a new city courthouse inside a renovated former school, and he offered to have the terrorists tried and jailed there.
“Then I could collect the money to pay off the debt on the construction,” Valentine said
Businesses said they would welcome new customers.
“We have plenty of seating — 175 seats. It would be nice to see you,” said Deborah D’Agostino, manager of the Asian restaurant Yobo in Newburgh.
Be careful what you wish for Mr mayor, those arab terrorists can plan attacks at or around the court house.
Sounds like a plan!
Now you just have to reach out to Brooklyn’s Muslim community in Flatbush and throw them a bone – build a nice Mosque and – voila.
haha this guy thinks thinks he just opened up a new concert hall or stadium. its good to know that the criminal is going to have a nice comfortable seat when he gets there. will he get get to order drinks from his seat – maybe wifi?
Ya, just put a fence around the town, and as far as im concerned, all muslims can move there! then you can cage them and charge for visiting, just like a zoo! now, thats an idea! big $$$ in that!
I spent a week one night in Newburgh. Bleeding heart-liberal lawyers will bray that sending KSM and the other miscreants up there for a trial violates the Eighth Amendment.
