Los Angeles, CA – At a Republican Jewish Coalition event in Los Angeles last week, Rep. Michele Bachmann offered a candid view of her positions on Israel: Support for Israel is handed down by God and if the United States pulls back its support, America will cease to exist.

The Republican Jewish Coalition is the same organization that recently hired former Sen. Norm Coleman. Bachmann’s appearance on Feb.1 is part of a whirlwind of national events for Bachmann in February. Next up: she’s keynoting the Take Back Washington North Dakota event in Bismarck this Friday night.
Here’s a transcript of some of her remarks at the RJC event
But the stupid left wingers and liberals in our community still run as and vote Demorat! When will these morons learn? We are our own worst enemies!
is this her true feeings or is she getting ready for a election ?
I’m happy people are finally starting to realize that we have Israel only because of G-d. Not for any Zionist reason
As expected she will be bashed with the now too common refrain: A loose canon, a religious nut, grand-standing, intolerant hater, blah, blah
But WHY will we read this on a suppossedly pro-Jewish , pro-Israel site, made up of Jews with strong family values, and whose memory of the Holocaust is not far distant. Why can’t at least the Jewish posters recognize a friend from an enemy-
The following have proven their Zionist credentials repeatedly, but only get called disgusting names: Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Michael Savage, and Pastor Hagee………..and it hurts to see it on this site.
G-d bless her!
We can do without friends from the loony bin
Exactly. The Torah says “I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you”. If America helps the Jews it will be blessed, and if it harms the Jews it will be cursed. True believers like Bachmann and Palin know this, and that is why they are ohavei yisroel.
Bachmann for President!!!!
On the one hand, I like to see legislators who support Israel. On the other hand, I’d prefer if this support didn’t come from a legislator who blames swine flu outbreak on Democratic presidents (except that the last swine flu outbreak happened during President ford’s administration).
“al tivtechu benidivim shel ben adam, she’ain lo teshuah”
Thank you congress women for standing up for what’s right and not being scared from those who try to undermine us and this great nation and may you have a lot of luck in what you do just like you had with that rally in D.C. Which was a sucses on such a short notice keep up your good work
Ms. Bachmann is a wonderful friend of Israel, a hard-working legislator, and would make an excellent candidate in a national election. I wish there were more like her.
bachman is a psycho! she had NAZI IMAGES at her tea bagger rallies. we should all be offended despite her party affiliation just like weprin for using nazi images at her rally
I think she represents a district that has very little Jews in it so I think this is the real her speaking I just hope she stays in congress and doesn’t try running for president because we all ready B”H have a few great choices and I want to save some for later
While it is great if she feels that way the fact is that there’s a seperation of church and state for a reason. The US should support Israel because they are our only ally in the Middle East. Religion has little place in government and foreign relations. What happens if we get an atheist president, should he then disregard Israel because he or she doesn’t believe in G-d. My opinion is politicians should leave G-d out of it. There are plenty common sense reasons for America to side with Israel.
SOunds a bit like Jeremiah Wright with his “goddamn america speech.”
she will be bashed by all the left wingers and jew haters, and of course by the DER YID and the BLATT
i dont get it, to all those who are against Bachman, right now we have lefties in the white house and they suck, so i believe an option of someone who is pro Israel and didnt sit for 20 years with anti semite wright, is clearly an easy choice
OK… seriously… anyone who has ever heard Bachmann speak knows she is straight out of the loony bin. While I do like SOME of her conservative ideas I would never be associated with her and it is a disgrace for a Jewish group to do so.
1. She told her constituents not to give census takers anything more than the number of people in their homes because that’s all the Constitution required. This is a lie (and also illegal) as the constitution makes no directive about it, just that it shall be directed by law – the Legislative Branch decides.
2. In a news release on her OWN WEBSITE, she claimed that Tim Geithner wanted to abandon the dollar for a multinational currency. As a moron who knows nothing about economics or banking, she confused replacing the dollar as the US currency with replacing the dollar as the standard currency for the international reserve in favor of something that better reflected the global economy.
3. She tried to link swine flu to Democratic Presidents, specifically Carter. The last 2 instances in the US were under Ford and Reagan… not Carter.
She has a long list of crazy talk that can be found easily. This woman is NUTS.
The RBS”O should save us from such people. I don’t want to hear a Goy say that if we don’t agree with them, the world will collapse. and I don’t want to hear it L’havdil with reference to us. Fanatics are dangerous regardless of their viewpoint
This just illustrates that the extremists the right are just as dangerous and wacky as the extremists on the left!!
Nevuah has been taken away from Am Yisroel and given to Xtian Congress members? The lady may feel sincerely, but who is she to be reading HaShem’s mind?
You should’t make national policy based on pesonall religious beliefs.
I wish to apologize for my too-strident tone of some of my recent comments. They are not in keeping with a frum forum.
I do still stand on my positions that we should not turn Israel into a partisan issue and that we should not pick sides in intra-Christian disputes.
