Port-Au-Prince - A 28-year-old man was rescued from the rubble of a building in Haiti’s capital Monday and it is possible he may have been trapped for four weeks since the devastating Jan. 12 earthquake, CNN reported on its website Monday, quoting doctors.

According to the report, the man, identified as Evan Muncie, was found in the wreckage of a market where he sold rice. He was suffering from extreme dehydration and malnutrition, but did not appear to have significant injuries, it said.

Their bodies are conditioned to go without food as a result of years of malnutrition. Reminds me of the old joke about the donkey owner who was furious that his donkey dropped dead just when he had trained it to work without food.

If he had no food, then it looks like miraculous event. however, what is he looking forward to - more hardship if sanitary conditions don't improve asap.
