Israel - Demand for Mossad T-Shirts Up Worldwide |
Israel - Israel has yet to confirm or deny its involvement in the assassination of senior Hamas figure Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, but there are those who are already taking advantage of the mysterious affair in order to make a profit.
The Irish Times reported today that the sales of Mossad-themed T-shirts have risen tenfold since the Israeli spy agency was linked to last month’s operation.
Eran Davidov, marketing manager of a top mail order company selling Israeli-made products, said his company had been overwhelmed by demand since launching a special “Show off your Mossad and Israeli pride” campaign earlier this week, directed mainly at Jewish communities in the Diaspora.
The most popular T-shirts include the writing “Don’t Mess with the Mossad” alongside a picture of a pistol. Another garment has the word Mossad with the letter “o” replaced by a circular target used on a rifle range.
According to Davidov, since the launch of the marketing campaign the company has received dozens of e-mails and blog messages expressing pride in the ability of Mossad to strike with impunity throughout the Arab world.

Ridiculous. T-shirts. What about cia or kgb? Indonesia has osama t-shirts, and probably obama t-shirts. Cheerleading for mossad is a setup. Based on Dubai's agit prop story: Israel is 'once again' portrayed as ruthless transgressor. That in turn headlines 'Arab victimhood' as excuse for sustained militarization (known as the me-conflict-process-crisis). I understand people are reacting to the propaganda regime against Israel. The hyped mossad image of power and aggression is appealing. And it's a trick.
