About the same time that the first figure was placed atop a four-story building at 25th Street and Fifth Avenue on Tuesday, the Police Department issued a statement reassuring New Yorkers that the figures are not despondent people on the verge of leaping to their deaths.

Police officials said they were trying to prevent an overwhelming number of emergency calls from concerned pedestrians or office workers. Nevertheless, they said that all emergency calls about a potential suicide would be taken seriously — even those from places where one of the figures is located.

“We are going to respond no matter what because there could be a jumper at the spot,” said Paul J. Browne, the department’s chief spokesman.

Naked men? In public? That’s art? This world is sinking fast, Moshiach has to come already!

Nude statues? In public? Moshiach should have come three thousand years ago. There have been statues of nudes in public continuously all over the world for at least that long.

To satisfy one artists whim, causing overwhelming calls to 911 is ridicoulous. Anywhere else he would be arrested. Did he get a permit for each location? I’m sure if I mounted a menorah there without a permit they would fine me up the kazoo. I hope he has insurance, incase one falls and hurts someone.

At a time when so many unemployed are despondant, the City authorizes “Suicidal Jumpers” as a poor excuse for art. This is the most disgusting display of artistic arrogance ever in NYC’s history. Disgusting. It is no wonder why Wall Street has collapsed and the economy has been destroyed. It is artistic degenerates like this supported by leaders of no morality like Mayor Blumpberg who have more money than brains and common sense who have destroyed our City. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. All suicides are on Blumpberg’s hands.

Why dont we drive the whole city crazy.Lets put up gravestones in areas that are becoming frum and this way drive out the secular owners of big homes and their big lawns. If you can put up people on rooftops as if they are ready to jump lets put up gravestones on our lawns as if we have a cemetary and even inscribe here lies the yetzer hora. Than we could also keep manicans dressed of course tzniosdig as a way to keep our cars safe at nite. And maybe we can put fake life size airplanes or helicopters on our roof tops. It sounds normal in this city of meshugoyim
