    21

Brooklyn, NY – Abraham Tischler, who excited the media and the people of the 44th Council District with his energetic campaign to become the youngest member of the New York City Council, threw his support behind Joe Lazar today and urged his supporters to do the same. Tischler wasted no time in announcing his endorsement of Lazar, doing so less than 24 hours after he was knocked off the ballot.

“I think it’s indisputable that Joe Lazar is the most qualified candidate in this race,” said Tischler. “But even more importantly, Joe Lazar is a man of great character and integrity, who is genuinely interested in the concerns of young people like me. Although I am disappointed that I will not have the opportunity to fulfill my dream of competing in the Special Election on March 23rd, I am heartened by the fact that the 44th Council District will have a leader of Joe Lazar’s wisdom and strength to represent us.”

“I am so thankful that this election has given me the opportunity to become acquainted with Abraham Tischler,” said Joe Lazar. “He is an exceptionally bright and capable young man, who has already distinguished himself for his dedication to our community. I know that Abraham wants to spend the coming years completing his studies, but it is my hope that he will still have the time to share his insights with me on youth issues when I am elected.”

Lazar added that he was certain that Tischler had a remarkable future ahead of him. “Let it be clear. Today is not the end of Abraham Tischler’s career in politics. It’s the beginning.”

I believe Greenfeld will need to learn the hard way that people in Boro Park and Flatbush are not interested in nasty negative politics between yidden.

Just when you thought politics couldn’t get any dirtier, David Greenfield comes along and proves us all wrong. Once this man gets in, if he gets in, he will push anyone who gets in his way to the ground. Is that who we want to represent us?

with everyone having an opinion over which guy is dirtier than the next and people accusing others of making up the dirty facts about a candidate but really the OTHER 1 is the slimeball, it doesn’t sound like anybody is too concerned over who’s playing dirty. nobody in this forum seems to care about loshon haro/motzi shaim ra, so why accuse one of the candidates who YOU don’t like to be the sleazbag? maybe it’s a good idea to get your facts straight before discussing politics involving yidden. forget the vinnews.comment forum rules about acting with proper conduct and not slandering anybody. what about the ISSURAIY DIOIRAYSA of Loshon haro/motzi shem ra, Sheker, Ona’as Divarim…
Publicly commenting negatively on Yidden especially those in the public’s eye and especially in a public forum is very dangerous
i’m asking you to please be very careful…

Greenfield is being backed by the most corrupt and dirty politician in Brooklyn, the dishonorable Vito Lopez. Anyone who is supported by Lopez, should never get an honest person’s vote. This man, Lopez, symbolizes every thing that is wrong with Brooklyn politics. You can either be with him or against him. Greenfield is with him, will you stand against him?

When it comes to elections you have to look at who stands behind the candidates. Greenfield is backed by Vito Lopez ? You have got to be kidding me! Vito Lopez is as corrupt as they come. A vote for Greenfield is a vote for Lopez, and we don;t need Lopez. Lazar is backed by Hikind who isn’t an angel, but at least he’s not the devil!

Greenfield is coming across as a young unproven guy and is very aggressive and hungry to became a macher
He would need to wait and learn a lot of how to get things done, not just in the yeshiva world news or in press releases by email.
Lazar, to his success made all the real serious askunim believe that his candidacy is for the best what boro park and haredi oilum needs
